Very easy to install and it's great to have 2, so you can place them accordingly at separate ends of the property. The flat side makes it convenient to lean the barrel against a wall. Having the spout at the lowest possible is the best so I get the most of the volume of water. Excellent price!

After a year they’re holding up! However, the plastic spigots suck! I bought a metal one that’s great & only replaced one, the plastic one leaks like crazy! I also added mosquito dunks & a mesh layer to the tiny bugs couldn’t get it & that worked great! Looks good after a year!

We bought 6 of them connected them next to each other on side of house ...holds a ton of water,the stems are good and solid metal not plastic. They were easy to set up. Grab some bricks to put them on as you need that room to put a watering can under to fill up.

Size: 2-Pack Rain Barrel
Unfortunately the barrel, after being fully set-up and tested, failed in the middle of a large rain event. It was leaking around the pre-made hole where you screw in the hose bib (the hose bib fit fine and wasn’t leaking at all) of course the water was pooling right at the base of my home foundation. I spent an hour in the rain, disconnecting everything and reinstalling my gutters. The only thing I can think is that the full barrel of water pressure tested that predrilled hole and it could not withstand it. One thing to note when deciding to use a rain barrel, a 1000 sqft roof can produce 600 gallons + of water depending on how hard the rain is falling and your roof pitch. Ensure you’ve got a plan for when that barrel fills up. I had to learn this the hard way even though I had an overflow barrel setup, it too filled quickly and I was soon attaching a hose to empty the barrels. This wasn’t common sense to me, which is why I’m sharing. ... show more

    • Nice Looking Barrels
Size: 2-Pack Rain Barrel
These are really great for use as decorative barrels. The only thing I don't like is it's difficult to see the water level. I wish the flap on the top had hinges so we can just pull them up and look in there. We are probably going to just add them ourselves. A decent tip is also to use Mosquito dunks. You can use a s hook and string them up with fishing line and place them on the opening to help hold down the flap. This puts an organic pesticide in the water to keep down fungus gnats and other pest that love to nest in mulch. It is safe for vegetables. If you use beneficial nematodes, I would recommend to remove not use the mosquito dunks. BT can possible kill the nematodes. Check with your nematode dealer to find out if BT will affect them. I have found that the nematodes work best to kill house plant infestations. I haven't had a chance to test this in my yard yet. So far I don't think we have an mosquito larvae in these barrels so I think they will work fine whether you use the dunks or nematodes. ... show more

These are supposed to have aluminum screens. They don't. They're cheap plastic. These are supposed to have brass drain valves. They don't. They're cheap plastic. They're supposed to be sturdy. Well, kind of. Make certain they are on a VERY flat and sturdy surface. These are very thin walled and won't stand up to much abuse. They're not bad for the money, I guess.
