  • These are 'THE SHEETS!'
In 2006 my sister gave me her 2yo California King TemperPedic bed, as she was giving everything away and movin' to California. With the bed came one set of sheets...THE SHEETS, and knowing my sister, if she shelled out $5K for a bed, the sheets weren't going to be Walmart brand. Oh...they were sublime. Substantial in weight, with a velvety softness that was retained throughout the week-long cycle they spent on the bed. They never rumpled up beneath me, fit the mattress like a second skin, never needing more than the occasional shake and side tuck to keep them feeling cool and smooth and ever so lovely. By the end of the week I was dreading the next set...knowing it would mean a week long fight with sheets that practically sanded my skin and creased into washboard pleats beneath my restless legs. So I stopped looking for the USUAL sheet sets to be found at K-Mart or Target, looking for something with a threadcount over 300. Walmart had a brand that came in 800...which were pricy (for me) and 'just okay' for a couple of years before the corners gave out beyond my talent to repair. But they were nothing like THE SHEETS, having none of the gravitas and comfort those thick, double-weight masters of epic perfection held. My sister was no help; she told me, "You do not WANT to know what I paid for those sheets, sweetie. Your hubby will KILL you if you even ask to buy another set of those sheets!" And telling me the near-mesospheric price she paid for the sheets, I realized...I was never going to convince my lifemate that we really NEEDED another set of THE SHEETS. But one day, many years after their wonderous appearance on my bed, THE SHEETS died. The bottom sheet came out of the dryer split right across the center, having become thin and worn from my hubby throwing towels in the washer with them, DESPITE my constant nagging. The pillow cases were dethreading on the folds at the hems, and one even had a hole, and the top sheet showed signs of hard wear. Sick at heart, I tossed the bottom sheet, mended the pillow cases, and used the top sheet as a spare. I was going to miss those nights when I slid my (not inconsiderable) butt across smooth, cool cotton finished to a feathery softness, but life goes on. Finally, after months of restless nights spent on substandard thread counts and cheap 'coton' sheets, Hubby says, "Why don't you look for some better sheets. Just don't go nuts on the cost." Knowing that his idea of money-well-spent and mine missed each other by about $100, I started looking on Amazon, reading (confusing) reviews and comparing thread counts, and content. Long staple cotton, Pima cotton, Egyptian, blah blah. I picked what I thought were the best 3, closed my eyes...and stabbed at the screen at my 3 picks. These won. They are on the bed now. And they are worthy replacements. I washed them twice, cold water using a baby-clothes detergent, and triple rinse. Dried them to JUST past damp dry, (dry but not dessicated). Folded them carefully to reduce setting wrinkles...to await 'clean sheets day'. And they fit...perfectly, snug to the corners of the massive TemperPedic. They feel WONDERFUL. No washboard creases develop under my busy, run-all-night legs and feet. They are not yet velvety soft...but the weave is so tight and even that they feel smooth and cool to my fussy, sensitive skin. They feel just like the first set did on the day we first put them on the bed...heavy, substantial fabric with lots of body without an ounce of stiffness. Perfect for those September nights that feel cool after 90+degree days. Excellent for snuggling under on raining nights. I love these sheets. I'll be buying another sheet next month. And then again the following month. And for every set I buy, I'm 'rehoming' all those unworthy sheet sets that have made a fantastic bed feel less than fantastic. Because life is way too short to sleep on crappy sheets. ... show more

  • If you have purchased highend sheets before, for the money, you will be surprised, an excellent investment
We've been buying our personal high quality bed sheets for decades. Good sheets are hard to find, online. Typically, a good set of sheets will run between $250 to $400 a set, depending on the quality and type of material. We enjoy using high count threads sheets because they seem to last longer and if they are a good set, very soft and smooth, which makes a great sleeping experience. When I ordered these sheets, I was hesitant to really digest the comments made. However, the product ratings were 5 stars across the board. I thought, give it a try, $150/set. If they are lousy, then I would be out of $150. The packaged arrived well before the scheduled date, which is a pleasant surprise. Opened up the package and examined the sheets both sides and so far they look nice. Unfolded the entire set to get a better view and did not see any blemishes nor any flaws in the materials. All the sown stitches were nicely done, no lose threads as I have seen many times in the past. Each corner of the flat sheet was nicely sown. The fitted sheet was done with a very sturdy elastic band that would easily wrap around the mattress. The deep pockets were perfect for our large Cal King 16 inch mattress. Would I recommend these sheets to others: Yes, definitely yes. Would I buy or will I buy another set? For sure. Would I buy a set for a gift to our family? Most certainty. A note to the seller and manufacturer. Keep up the good work. Keep the price affordable and maintain a well stock supply. ... show more

  • Very comfortable sturdy sheets
Have just received these sheet. Washed them, put them on the bed, and was pleased they fit so well. Not sure they would fit an 18" mattress like it says. Ours is about 13 inches and there isn't much extra for a mattress that is another 5 inches deep. Re wrinkles, they are not totally wrinkle-free as I have experienced in the past, however, they are very acceptable. For these two reasons (size and wrinkles) I have not rated them a perfect 5. The sheets are a very sturdy crisp feeling material and I love the detailing on the hem which is not mentioned in the description...the hem of the flat sheet and the pillow cases have a three-pleat detail that is very nice. ... show more

  • Awesome!
Blows away cheap sheets. In this case, you absolutely get what you pay for. Pay the extra money and enjoy for years. This is my second set and the first set is still in great shape and I used them continuously for two years. (Washing them weekly of course!)

  • I absolutely love these sheets.
So happy with this purchase. Sheets of this quality are usually at least twice as expensive. They are super thick and sturdy, but very soft to the touch. The high thread count gives them a beautiful sheen and the craftsmanship is flawless. Totally worth the price as they will last for years. You will want to sleep naked every night when you have these sheets on your bed. ... show more

  • Good quality not the softest
I thought for this price $150, I was buying the best quality. The sheets aren't as soft as I was expecting. They are thick and good quality. But softness and comfort is most important to me.

  • Love These Sheets!
These are the real deal: They may not be "Egyptian", they're definitely Pima. They're substantial, with a subtle pearl-like sheen, with high quality stitching and touches. We bought two sets, and are very pleased.

  • Yup, Will Buy Again... if they ever wear out.
Wow. Love sleeping on these sheets. Yes, thicker than I've ever had, but even here in SoCal breathe enough not to get hot. If you are looking for a new sheet experience, try these. And I bleach.
