On my old XJ I had some DetourUSA mounts, now I believe they have went out of business. These are the next best thing, mounting was easy, super straight forward instructions, and look great! I opted to use self tapping screw over the rivets

I installed these on my 92 Cherokee XJ with 4" spotlights very easily, without door interference. They look great. The weld looks sturdy and the metal is thick. The coating is, meh. Overall I like the fit and ease of install. They haven't taken a hard punch so I don't know how much of an impact they can withstand. But in that case if im hitting a spotlight then I'm also taking out a mirror in the process. Stupidity is costly, just saying. ... show more

I like what these do and the variety of lights you can mount to them. After first receiving them I thought that they would be weak because of how they were welded but they turned out to be pretty sturdy. That came in handy because when mocked up on the Jeep they looked uneven. It turns out 1 of the tabs was welded on crooked (Which is the reason for 4 stars instead of 5). ALWAYS test fit the product before you fasten it down for good. I dodged a bullet by checking their fitment first. Luckily as I said, these things are pretty sturdy so I carefully bent the tab into alignment. End result is they fit fine and work great. ... show more

The idea is solid, but rough countries execution of that idea comes in lacking. They seem sturdy enough. That’s about the best I can say. The bends aren’t remotely close to matching the body, so the bracket doesn’t touch the body or fit like they advertise. We’ve mocked these up on three separate XJ’s (a 94, 98 and 2001) and it’s the same story. I’ll run them until the affordable off-road and JCR replacements get here. If fit and finish is something you care about, especially on something almost eye level and you look at each time you get in, I’d look elsewhere. ... show more
