The pants themselves look great and feel well made. Unfortunately they are a little too small for me. I normally wear a 34"-36" waist with 36" being big on me. I can pull my 36" jeans off of my waist without unbuttoning them. I ordered the M because it said it fits waist sizes 31"-35" but I still need about another inch to button the top button on these. Looks like I will have to order a Large instead. ... show more

If anyone ever asks me what pants I recommend for work, it would be these. -The looseness is one of my favorite features, minimizes chafing, enhances agility, and reduces the risk of tear if you're under strain. Essentially, you can easily squat in these. -It has 5 gallon buckets for pockets, I am often impressed by how much stuff I can put in them. -Waist tightens so that you can bend over to grab something without accidentally profaning the world. -The two leg openings (at the bottom) tighten. Useful for two reasons: 1. Minimize the amount of dirt that gets into your boot, 2. it is harder (not impossible) for bugs to get up your leg. -Camo pattern sorta hides any dirt or grease or whatever that you get on you. Those are merely my favorite features of these pants. I strongly endorse these pants for manual labor. ... show more

    • Effective camouflage, durable construction, at a decent price.
TAP47 (Originally French), or "Tigerstripe" camo, an excellent, if obscure pattern, was made known to me due to my affinity for military history. On its effective uses: The tigerstripe pattern is useful in many green environments (Arboreal and tropical forests, swamp-esque terrain, tall grass fields) but it really comes into its element in coniferous forests (forests consisting of pine, cedar, and fir trees, among others in that family) due to its deep green color and horizontal strokes of black and green. It maintains its usefulness in this environment perennially due to the fact that trees in those types of forests are evergreen, and provide surrounding greenery year-round. I would highly recommend this pattern to any person playing airsoft or paintball in a green forest environment, although in an arboreal forest, traditional woodland BDU is more effective, due to the rounded shape of the surrounding leaves. Despite this, it does not lose its camouflaging capabilities in any green environment. Put it this way, for those of you who are unconvinced, To this day, the Navy SEAL's and Army Rangers are said to use it in the mountains of Afghanistan. On the construction of the clothing: The construction of the BDU is quite good, having reinforcements in the seat and knees of the pants, allowing for some rough use (not to mention that it is already made of thick, sturdy cloth). The shirt features reinforced elbows as well. Caveat Emptor (Buyer beware): The pants are a size smaller than their civilian counterparts, and the shirts a size bigger. I bought a full set of this BDU, and the jacket is pretty large, despite that I ordered a XL, thinking it would fit like a civilian shirt (It seems to be fitted for those who aren't in shape, rather than simply those with broad shoulders.) The pants on the other hand...I am glad I ordered an XL, because they fit like a pair of large-sized jeans. So the key is, buy a size smaller in shirts, and a size larger in pants. ... show more

I have size 34 pants and all of them are baggy on me where I could use a belt. I ordered medium which is 31-35 waist. These are actually about 32 waist with the strap all the way out. I can't even button the top button. Not even close to a size 35 (which should be too big on me). Also the main advantage of military pants is the gusseted crotch which makes it easy to do kicks, splits or any kind of movement. These are kind of gusseted but oddly tight in the crotch for military pants- maybe its because the whole thing is too small. Then at the legs they are a big long. If I ordered a size up they would have been ok but the fit is weird. Definitely not standard military specs. Other than the sizing being way off and the design only half way similar to BDU specs- the material and workmanship seems to be of good quality- though there are threads hanging out in places- mass produced stuff. The camo coloring looks good. Made in china without any attention to detail in terms of the design and sizing. Who knows the pair you get might be too big but I'm guessing most of them run smaller than the stated size. For $35 they aren't bad at all. Normally military style pants are $50 or even $80. Actual real military pants I think aren't for sale to civilians but they used to have stuff you could buy that was basically the same thing. I haven't worn any for a really long time and here lately all I see are cheaper lower quality pants- not sure if they have the good ones any more. A good pair of military pants might cost $80 but they'll last six years whereas a normal pair of pants lasts six months- so they are actually economical. In this day and age I guess we are stuck with cheaper lower quality products. ... show more
