I needed a rotating bookshelf with room for tall books, and this fit the bill. Of course, if you have mostly tall and deep books there will be overhang, and this will take up the same space as a square one, but if you have tall narrow books this will take a smaller footprint. The shelf was easily assembled, but you can put parts in upside down, which may or may not be an issue, depending on how OCD you are or if you want all the books to be in the same direction. The shelf rotates well even if fully loaded. I left mine unfinished so it was set up and ready to go in a couple of hours. Cute bookcase but the base was broken when received even though package seemed undamaged. It’s kind of heavy and don’t want to deal with shipping it back so I’ll see if I can get that part replaced. I’ll update review when I know more. Update: Seller sent a replacement part and was received undamaged. I'm happy they were very willing to make things right. They said they can replace any part that is received damaged. Over all the bookcase is strong and sturdy so if you receive a damaged part just keep in mind that it's real wood and wood can break but seller was more than cooperative. Super sturdy bookshelf, and has so much space! I fit almost 100 books on it overall. I know it says kids version, but I love the paw print aesthetic! Easy to assemble, too. Pretty pleased with this. It took a minute for me to make sure I had the pieces sorted correctly for proper construction, but I double checked and it went smoothly. Works as advertised- holds LOTS of stuff and spins well. Holds everything that I had on one of those 6-cube rectangular cubbies I used to have and there's room for more. The bookcase is absolutely beautiful but my top round piece came with a crack in the nailing section. Have tried to receive customer service but haven’t had any luck at all! Such a shame as it’s such a beautiful bookshelf
