It not only functions offers as protection from the rain & dirt here in Florida, it offers excellent protection from scratches on the glass as well. Looks great & is easily cleaned and wiped down. The tablecloth fits perfectly and the elastic seems like it's high quality. However the tablecloth material itself is poor quality - it's very similar to the plastic that's used in those thin plastic grocery bags that are still used in some states, easily torn. I put it on my patio table for the first time today, and set a small blue tooth speaker on it or a moment. When I picked up the speaker, its rubber feet left flaws in the tablecloth, i.e., it wasn't quite torn exactly, but it was stretched (see image). The quality of the material is pretty bad, I don't see this tablecloth lasting more than a month or two. It's too late to return, so I'm stuck with it and will need to find a different one that hopefully will be higher quality.
