The fit on these are amazingly bad. I wear a women's 7 1/2 shoe. I bought an 8. My toes are pressed up to the front of the skate but yet there is so much excess space at the top of the foot. There's no way to tighten the upper foot part sufficuently because of the way the cheap material is cut. I've had these on dor about 10 minutes now (long enough to lace them up, grab my phone and log in to Amazon to write this review) and there's already a crease in the inner and outer ankle area. I love rollerskating and used to roller skate quite a bit when I was a kid! I have had several different kinds of boot roller skates as an adult. My daughter saw a pair of boot roller skates that I had got and really wanted a pair for herself. These are really some of the nicest boot skates that I have ever seen! I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the whole roller skate! I thought the pink color on the boots and skates were really nice looking. It has a nice smooth feel to the material but not like the old vinyl boots that have been around for years. They are very soft around the ankles, and also have a nice padding on the insoles. The wheels light up when you roll them on a solid surface, but they don't light up when they are stationary. Now, let me tell you about the craftsmanship on these boots! Superior! The boot itself is thick with secure stitching. It is padded on the inside in a way that felt durable and supportive and squishy all at the same time, which makes it feel very nice around your foot. The wheels spin very easily and do not catch. They also do not spin so much as to be too loose when you are rolling. The stopper is very securely attached to the bottom of the boot, and is somewhat oversized so it is perfect for beginners. The boot itself is also secured to the under part in a way that you can tell that it is not cheaply made and you don't worry about the boot falling apart. All the bolts, screws, bearings, etc are high quality. These roller skates fit just about right on with a tiny bit of extra room, but not so much that I would trip over the end because of them being too long. So the sizing is right on but if you want to wear an extra pair of socks then you can order up a 1/2 size. These fit nicely around your ankles so you can tie the laces all the way up without it causing any pain after about ten minutes. The material is very soft and comfortable.
