  • Free-Wheelin'
Extraordinarily comfortable, and made of some durable, Space Age materials. The instructions to install the brake are easy enough, but I would like some care instructions, like, on which foot should the brake go? I read through the materials, and nothing informed me. However, not a fault of the product, just would have been nice to have some sort of health and safety tips regarding the brake. It might help if the "pro shop" at the one remaining skate rink in my city were staffed by actual pros.... ... show more

  • Ok if your not big
Being 6 foot and 300 pounds idk about these. The tracks seemed to be a little crooked so it was hard for me to keep my feet from Bowing in or outwards probably cause of I’m size and I haven’t skated in some years. So 3 gourmet hats out of 5 for my big guys, 4/5 for not so big

  • Sizing is big
Good quality but the sizing is very big. I would recommend to go a size smaller than what you wear in your shoe.

  • Great gift
Size: 9 Color: Black/Yellow
Perfect fit and gift for my grandson. He roller skates 2 times a week. The con, he received Christmas and the wheels wore out, the bolts holding skate plates on snapped off, the brake shredded. Very disappointed in how they held up. The pro. He loved them. I just wish they lasted longer.

  • Perfect Christmas gift
Size: 12 Color: Black/Yellow
Bought as a present for my father, who has loved roller blading since the 80s. Size runs a bit small, expecting it to fit better after enough use to squish the foam. Attaching and removing the brake is easy, however it is very low set and wide so it may cause issues when taking turns too sharply, but he doesn't anticipate keeping it on, just wants to get back into the swing of it first ... show more

  • "Budget" skates with unexpected issues
Edit: It's becoming clearer to me that these skates are not aligned. My old pair was not this much work and rolled smoother... Takes so much fine-tuning to try to get all wheels to spin properly but then it doesn't even matter, because the tracks are not centered or aligned correctly on the skate. The bearings aren't good either, which was made more apparent when I went to change the wheels. Just 20 minutes on these feels like 2 hours because you're trying to fight the skates the whole time. I'm out of the return window now so I'm going to try to make it work. Got different wheels, maybe will need new bearings, too. Investing more than I had hoped initially. Original: Overall, I do enjoy the skates and it wasn't too much of a punch to the wallet. I'm still getting used to them and have some initial observations. There is no included hardware needed if you want to take the right brake off, as the length of the screw used to hold the brake in place is longer than the rest of the wheels. This really should be included--I had to order online from a third party and file it down to size in order to skate without the brake (you can also order by mail from Roller Derby, but there's S&H to get just a single screw). The frame/wheel alignment on both skates points slightly outward and isn't easily adjustable as you would find on more expensive skates. I get more supination on the right versus the left (the body of the skate tilting inward). The result is substantially more wear on the inside of the wheels than normal, but I plan on getting harder outdoor wheels to make things easier on me. I also have to wear thick socks as my feet are narrow and move around a lot without padding that extra space. I will say that the skates are attractive and don't feel cheap--I just wish they suited my feet better and that the wheel frames weren't slanted out as much as they are. I'm not an inline skate expert, perhaps it's desireable to some to have the frames slightly off-center towards the front, but with my narrow feet it's not exactly my preference as I tend to supinate in the skates, especially if my feet slide within the boot. With better socks and wheels, I might be able to ignore the issue as I don't know how to realign these frames easily (if at all). ... show more
