My 4-year-old is the ultimate field tester for footwear. If he isn’t running through tall grass or splashing through standing water, he’s climbing onto a horse or playing in the dirt. We live in the country, and his previous boots literally had the soles worn through after what felt like a thousand miles of use. Finding a replacement that looks good but can actually survive his lifestyle is a tall order. In terms of durability, these have been a pleasant surprise so far. We’ve had them for about a month now, and despite the daily abuse of mud and constant running, they are holding up remarkably well for a $40 boot. Only time will tell if the soles can go the distance like his last pair, but the initial build quality feels substantial. The size and fit are spot on with the square toe, giving him enough room to move without the boot feeling clunky or heavy. The ease of use is also great; he can pull them on himself, which is a small victory for my morning sanity. The real standout, though, is the look. We went with the ostrich quill print, and the aesthetic is fantastic. Every single person we come across—from the neighbor to the clerk at the store—stops to give him a compliment on them. They look like high-end custom Western boots but at a price point that doesn't make me panic when he decides to jump into a puddle. These are so well made, and have that perfect leather smell that I adore! Sizing was perfect for my son who wanted to try boots for the first time, and the quality is great! He says they are super comfortable, though he does need to get used to the heel on them. He needed them for being outside and tromping thru sage brush, rocks, sand, and any other high desert outdoorsy stuff you can come across. This is the second pair I have ordered from this brand, the last pair was the ones I got and LOVE so much. New favorite decently priced boot brand!! Gotta love finding that! ... show more

Really nice for the price! They fit true to size, and are so cute too. My son is in love with them. Way better price point than spending over $100 for name brand ones from big stores. They are well made and comfortable, so we are very happy with our purchase!

Lasted 6 months on a 9 year old cowboy til heel came apart on inside and a metal support piece fell out then they were done. Finish on toes scuffed pretty easily. Not too terrible for price point and wear abuse they took I guess
