  • Amazing sound quality for music, have not tried with VAD.
Very comfortable with perfect sound. Feels like high end studio headphones. Have not tried with v drums, only music, but the quality seems to be as good as it gets. My hearing is not perfect, but I’m a life long musician with a lot of studio time on drums. The bass response and overall clarity is insanely good. I’ve worn these for hours with comfort while working at a desk. ... show more

  • Outstanding for V-Drums
I bought Roland RH-300V headphones based on numerous recommendations saying they were great for V-Drums. However, when I first put them on, I was surprised that they didn't feel as comfortable as my Sennheiser HD 598 Cs. I can wear my Sennheiser's for several hours a day. The Roland headphones had stiffer padding and fit a little tighter. My initial reaction was that I would probably return them and use my Sennheiser's. However, that all changed when I wore them with my new TD-27KV drumset. The stock drums sounded fantastic! Then, as a comparison, I tried the Sennheiser's with the same drums. The Roland's sound was much better for the drums, particularly on the low end. They give my floor toms a fantastic-sounding rumble that the Sennheiser headphones don't accomplish. As for comfort, the difference quickly went away once I started playing the drums. I was glad they were holding on firmly, not falling off or slipping around as I played and moved around. I am an amateur musician and new to V-Drums, so take it for what it's worth, but these are a fantastic match for the Roland TD-27KV and presumably other electronic drums. ... show more

  • Worth every penny.
I used to use Sennheiser 4.0 BT headphones which have a clean sound, but this is another level, and the difference in price is not huge. The base drum with this Roland Vdrums headphones sound very punchy and powerful. Plus the isolation is great so you bearly hear the pads only when playing at a low volume. On top of that, the disign is beautiful. Only thing i believe couldb be imroved is confort. ... show more

  • Roland RH300-V With Alesis Kit
I just got the RH300-V so time will tell in terms of durability, but honestly these sound really great. They are a little treble-y compared to my Sony headphones but that translates to some pretty incredible clarity in the ear. Comfort wise they are adequate. They felt a little stiff at first but after wearing them for 4+hours earlier I didn't have any discomfort at all, so I'm good with it. My primary use for these is with an Alesis electric drum kit and they sound amazing. Best I can explain it, it feels like I was previously wearing some sort of sound filter with my previous headphones and now I have removed it. Everything just sounds so much more clear and pronounced, the sound quality is just excellent. Overall very happy, now just hoping they last. ... show more

  • Great sound!
Great sounding headphones! Coming off of Sennheiser 555 headphones these are even better. They don't peak or clip with the bass drum on my v drums like my Sennheisers do. The closed back is good so I don't hear the stick hitting the pad as much when practicing and no one hears the click and que tracks in my ear when I'm on stage. I don't like how "flashy" they are and that they say V drums on the ear pieces but wow right out of the box I absolutely love them! Worth the extra cost imo. ... show more

  • Excellent E drum Headphones
I use these for the sole purpose of playing the E drums. Sound quality is amazing. Fitment is perfect and very comfortable. Nice long cord as well. Outside noise reduction is excellent.

  • Terrible sound!
These headphones sounded extremely thin with lots of white noise and static. Every hit of the kick drum sounds like the speaker is blown and rattles more than it does thump. I didn't even have them turned up 50% and they still sounded like they were being pushed to the limit! Didn't matter which drum kit setting I was using, they all sounded terrible. I was using these with a Roland TD-1DMK, which is a great starter e-kit. At least Roland got this right... VERY DISAPPOINTED! Based on the reviews and the price point, I expected much more. Maybe I got a defective pair or something but yeesh they were awful. Would not buy again! ... show more
