Poor workmanship, the leather should extended to toe area and rubber covers leather rather than just sewn together. While I was satisfied with this pair of boots as given I had it for 1 year, normal wear and tear as expected, however, what i'm not happy with and I think people who have these and/or are thinking of purchasing these, should know. This is the 1st pair of steel toe boots that I purchased with rubber toe guard built into boot, normally, leather covers steel toe area, however, the pair that I have , the rubber is sewn to leather and leather doesn't extend around steel toe area , if you damage near stitching ,rubber will start to tear even if stitching not unraveling and reveal inner liner and leather separating from rubber toe guard.

I’m a big guy! Size 14xw shoes are always hard to find, and Safety shoes cost a mint in my size. A buddy in Australia told me about these. I love the fit, the EZ on and off, they absorb your weight! A tiny bit snug at ankle but nothing that bad. I’m a safety manager and in my feet most of the day. After years and countless boots, I’ve found the holy grail. And I love the fact they slip on and off! Please get this boot,you won’t regret it And the price...OUTSTANDING!!!!!!! Extra wide size guys..... look no further the toe has ample room. No break in time.

These boots are great with 2 pairs of socks, I wear these about 9-12 hours a day. My only issue is they don't breath and therefore these boots 8/17/18 : I've been trying to male these work, new insoles, different combinations of socks, but in the end, they are too large in the shoe box area. I was initially happy with the shoes, but I think it had more to do with my feet being strong, but over time, these have broken them down. Terrible toe pain, heel pain, and very large shoe box lets it move around far too much. I've had to soak these in febreeze, odor eaters, baking soda, it doesn't really matter because they do not breath at all, its a death odor if anyone is around. A large issue is also: The shoe is too big, but it isnt wide enough, my feet are not monster feet, and I fit normally in shoes, but these have a very very narrow design, coupled with the over-sized box potion. The sides of my pair are basically the half an inch indentation of how much my foot hangs over. No idea how it's too big and too small at the same time. I was very sad to spent $89 on these and have such a bad end result.

I gave it a chance to break in, but sorry, these boots are terrible to wear. I get extreme discomfort from my left foot in particular, and it feels like it’s trying to squeeze my toes off. I’ve never felt pain like this before. What went wrong is the steel toe portion, somehow they designed the left boot more narrow than the right one, so it ends up being a permanent vice on your toes. I’m running for the hills, save yourselves!!! On that note, the static proof thing does work, and it does slip on easily (is that even worth mentioning?) I wanted it to work, guys, really, but it didn’t. Out of fear of losing my left foot, i’m returning this ASAP!

I bought these boots for my job I’m a maintenance worker. They had these in a wide size that’s not easy to find. These boots are very comfortable, the soles are soft and flexible but still are firm for standing on a ladder for long periods of time. You need a couple days of breaking in. I recommend squeezing the back neck of the boot because there are 3 little traction bars that are a rubber insert to help with slipping them off. That area rubbed blisters on the back my feet but after squeezing them and working the stiffness out very nice boots. Also these boots are not water proof and the stretching material on the sides is a little low so if you step in water over 3” it can leak in.

I work on my feet on concrete, 10-12 hours a day. I've tried so many boots, from too many manufacturer to count. Only underarmor Valspar (cop and paramedic approved) seem to hit all the buttons, but they're hard to get on/off, the laces stink, and they don't last. These are easy on/off, broke in easy, can use medium or thick socks, no feet sweat and super comfortable. NO FOOT OR KNEE FATIGUE. I'm between 10.5/11 in most boot sizes. I have a high arch narrow foot. The wide only was a concern. I got the 11, but with regular inserts fit just fine, and width not a problem. Fits more like a quality whellie/muck boot than a combat boot. I wouldn't go hiking in these, but looking forward to getting a smaller size and trying for casual wear, and for the price point, well made and a pleasant surprise, wish I would have come across these 5 years ago. Update: 8 months later and holding up like a champ. No visible wear or tear. Very happy and impressed. Gonna get another pair for around the house work Update 16 months: just starting to slightly crack and replaced inserts. For how often I'm wiping these down with cleaners to get the spilt ink off them, I'm amazed. Got a brown pair w/o rubber toe for gardening, going great,10.1/2 size fits fine, but still wears like a boot. Got same type different manufacturer (Danner, ON SALE,) that fits more like a running shoe,buy I only use those for liesure. (Longevity suspect). Will be buying another work pair of rock rooster, In another 6 months? 😀

1. Runs WAY small. I normally wear a 9.5 US. I needed a 8 US in this shoe, but then the fit is great. 2. Well built. Super comfortable. A little "high profile" or "poofy" look, but fit inside is great. 3. Insulated. Great for me, but might be hot as heck in the summer.
