  • Nice, comfortable casual alternative to sneakers
Size: 9.5 Color: Dark Brown Leather
Aside from my big-brand "swooshy" sneakers, these are quite possibly the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn, especially for something that's a little less casual. They're very light-weight which is nice, and the soles have a sort of "squish" impact-absorption characteristic that I really like. I spent about an hour and a half walking a store with my wife which usually makes my feet and legs ache, and this shoes prevented that. They were a bit uncomfortable right across the top of my ankle at first, but after a couple days of breaking them in, that's loosened up and isn't a problem now. They seem to fit true-to-size (I ordered the same size as my sneakers and they fit just right) and there's just enough room in them to wiggle my toes etc. The arch support could be just a bit higher for my feet (but it's not bad by any means), so if you need a high arch support you might consider ordering a size larger and putting a good pair of insoles in these shoes. I've had them about a week now, so I don't know yet how long they'll last, but they're a nice shoe, and a nice step up if you're trying to upgrade from wearing athletic shoes on an everyday basis. Don't get me wrong, I won't be giving up my sneakers, but for a shoe to wear to work to look a bit more professional, or on a date night out, these are a great choice! ... show more

  • Good Shoes
Size: 12 Wide Color: Dark Brown Leather
Comfortable shoes at a reasonable price. I have had several pairs over the years and they wear well, especially for the price.

  • Comfort
Size: 10.5 Wide Color: Dark Brown Leather
This one of the best buys I've made on amazon, this shoe breathes comfort and style, it's so light on my feet it feels like I'm not wearing anything. The shoe is quality and Rockport has gotten a customer because I'll be buying more. I wear size 10 and I decided to purchase a 10 1/2 wide because of the hours I work and it's almost feels like I'm wearing a 10... HIGHLY RECOMMENDED ... show more

  • Initial thoughts: lightweight, attractive, but shoe support broke down after a few months
Size: 14 Color: Dark Brown Leather
I wear a size 14 (European 48/49) with narrow heels and wider toe box. I was looking for an attractive shoe that I could wear while doing long walks/power walks. Initial review: Extremely lightweight. I mean, wow... my first thought is that anything this light will not be durable. I've picked up toddler shoes that have weighed more. Attractive. Definitely a good looking shoe for the price. Fit. I'm sure everyone wants a different kind of fit. I got the normal width and it fits me well. No hotspots noted at this time. Durability. I wore them in the house briefly (to check size and fit) and then went out doing some power walks. I've put around 10 miles on them in the first week. I'm not seeing any signs of failure or wear at this point. I'll post updates as needed. UPDATE: Worn for about two months, no signs of wear or break down despite heavy use. LAST UPDATE: Used them for about six months, wearing them about twice a week to go on walks/errands. Appearance is still good, but they became excruciatingly painful to walk in. It was the like the sole material broke down, becoming super flimsy. No support at all. I've never had a shoe break down this fast before. Even Wal-Mart cheapies have lasted me longer. I will not purchase again ... show more

  • Super stiff and kind of narrow, but nice.
I don't love the fit of these pre breaking them in. They're kind of stiff and don't really move with your foot, plus they're narrower than their labeling. So if you're like me and you have wider feet, they'll get that fat foot look where they're getting stretched out horizontally. And every time you take a step they'll slap you in the heel like a pair of flip flops, because the sole is hard and not segmented, so when it bends (on every step) it snaps back. It's pretty annoying. The shoes look nice and they don't look or feel cheap or crappy, I want to be clear about that. I got a lot of compliments in them. But I rarely wear them because it's just so annoying to, literally it feels like you're getting slapped in the feet all day long when you're walking around and when you're just standing, your feet are all flattened and you feel like you're squashing the shoes. I hope it's different for people with narrower feet, but if you've got wider feet I'd maybe recommend something else. ... show more

  • Horrible customer service when there’s a product issue
Size: 11.5 Color: Castlerock Grey Leather
I bought these shoes in May. Rockport is known for good products in the past and my first impression was good light weight shoe and comfortable. However 3 months in and the seams are coming apart, I can feel every you might step on like small stones in a parking lot through the shoe. They are wearing out extremely fast for a $60+ shoe that’s only being worn at work 5 days a week for 8 or so hours and most of the time I’m working at my desk. When I reached out to through Amazon about product issues it directs me to Rockports official website and corporate number. I send them emails or call and I’m told to go through Amazon. Amazon says they are set up to handle all issues directly and must contact the manufacture. After 2 weeks and back and forth with the company I have gotten no where other than sorry you are having and issue with your shoe. Do not buy shoes from this company or store. If you have issues with the shoe after the 30 day return window you are out of money and have to buy more shoes. ... show more
