  • Not an rc. Goes ina straight line and doesn't make any roaring sounds.
Interesting little critter. I obtained thinking it was similar to a rc and it's not. You turn it on and it runs in a straight line. Not its fault but mines. That being said it's quiet and doesn't make any noise other the motors going, has survived being tossed around so durable, and functionally acts like a simple toy dino. So good value for a little person who likes dinos. ... show more

  • Cool toy for any dino lover
This Robo Dino is a nice, well made toy. It needs batteries to function. The price is pretty good for such a cool toy. It runs around and opens and closes its mouth. My daughter, who is into dinosaurs, loved the toy when I gifted it to her. The noice it makes is of it running and open and closing it's mouth. Also, its eyes flash red. Younger children might become afraid of this toy so I would say its more suitable for ages 6+, unless you're child is fearless. Overall, its a good quality toy. ... show more

  • Raptor on wheels
This is an affordable toy at $10 list price, struck down to $8 at the moment. It's fully plastic and lightweight but not flimsy. At this price point I am not expecting Boston Dynamics level of robotics but I wasn't aware of the wheels on the bottom of the feet until taking the raptor out of the packaging. This more so shuffles across the floor, while being balanced it just goes straight into whatever is in its way. Give it a hat and cane and let it roll out of a space diner. This works for what it is, and has lights and sound. It had fierce competition when it was introduced, so by comparison it was a bit underwhelming to see this one trick raptor beside a remote controlled 360 degree adjustable wheels rover with RGB lights. So if you are thinking of giving this as a cool awesome gift (it's a raptor, it is awesome!), just be wary of the latest gadgets out there: this may not win many birthday present rat races for kids. 5 stars at this price point as a functional toy. Young toddlers can use it to reenact a few movie scenes. ... show more

  • acceptable for the price point
So I kinda figured at, at this price point, the "running" motion would be wheel based; and sure enough it is. Not surprised, articulated leg forward motion toys just cost more. Now the mouth and arms do move so that part checks out. As for the travel, it has decent speed on hard flooring, when it hit my area rugs it just stalled at the edge. There is no intelligence direction, it will run until resistance is met. That could come by way of rebounding off a wall, or if friction on the flooring such as a gap between tiles, which adds bias to one of the wheels thus changing its direction. But for the most part you'll be chasing it around re-aiming it. The cats liked it, some of them at least, one ran and hid the others bullied it till fell over, either way it was a good laugh. ... show more

  • Missing parts: arrived without the cover to the battery compartment
This is a fun but simple toy which seems to be intended for about 5- year old dinosaur enthusiasts. It a simple black and white color scheme accented by the red lights that light up the eyes and the mouth. It requires a hard floor to move around since it’s rolls on wheels rather than really being robotic. The biting motion and the churning of the arms are definitely fun to watch though. It needs two AAA batteries which aren’t included and unfortunately the battery compartment cover wasn’t included either in the toy I received which makes it pretty questionable for gift giving. ... show more

  • Affordable fun toy!
This was a very reasonable price point toy (~$10) and is super fun! My kids love watching it and playing with it. Quality seems great for a cheap toy. Definitely worth the money!
