This textbook, while very high quality and clearly what you want used in a college course, it has a very big shortcoming. That shortcoming is that all the directions are also in Swedish. So you therefore must have someone who understands Swedish read and explain the directions for each section. There are audio files you can get access to on a website which helps. But it's worth noting that the website is in Swedish, and you have to register and login to access them. This book could be most easily explained as a Learn Swedish book that was written entirely in Swedish. ... show more

    • Great if you’re willing to look for stuff a lot on the net
Basically, the book is great if you have either a teacher or a lot of free time to look stuff up on the internet, as it doesn’t explain that much, but is filled with valuable vocabulary along with some pronunciation tips and grammar. Great book, but not in and of itself. 5/5 because I have a ton of free time and their Övningsbok is on the way. Perfect for me, might be not so much for you. ... show more

    • The Reason For My 4.0 GPA
I am a native English speaker learning Swedish through a college course and this book is excellent at helping me learn. It’s not vocabulary heavy, but more context and grammar heavy, which i love! I’ve gotten high marks every semester and I have this book to thank for it.
