It the quality you expect from Ring. Connectivity was easy to home internet and within the ring network as this camera was added to an existing network. Night vision and sound is quality. If you have a ring you know how to manipulate the system for notifications and working with other cameras.

After 3 months this device failed. After, trying to reach out I finally was contacted by a representative from the company. He was able to figure out the device had failed. Sent me a new device and I sent the old one back, free of any cost. I'm very happy with the outcome and help I received.

If I based this on what I replaced I'd probably rate it a 2, as my other camera could move, actually had internal memory, was smaller, and only $40. I'm giving it 4 stars because the camera is absolutely superior and does have more features. It has a siren, a light and talk feature. That said, I really didn't want a siren, a light and the ability to say hello to the birds. My doorbell already does that. Am I supposed to annoy my neighbors, or just heckle passersby? They only reason I bought it was it's ability to connect to my ring system, which my other camera did not have. I really wish Ring had a plain less expensive version, and the ability to buy a shorter cord. I also don't like the fact is has a power inverter in the cord. It's not huge, but large enough to be annoying. All that said, if you have people letting their dogs poop in your yard, it has some serious potential. Of note, you cannot use this inside looking out through a window. The IR will act like a mirror and the camera will then only see itself in the reflection.

Took literally minutes to get this up and running. I already have a ring plan. It automatically added this new device to my plan. It took seconds to identify my network. Love it!

Worst customer service!!! Do NOT update your email on the Ring.com account unless you are planning on not using your cameras for over 4 hours. I tried to update to my new email account and received a message to verify the new email. I clicked on the link for an email to be sent. After an hour, NO EMAIL. Clicked the link to resend the verification email. Again, no email. Called customer service, and all they said is that it can take up to 4 hours for the email to come through!! WTH?!?! And then was told that after 4 hours, I can call back if I haven't received the email. I have no use of my cameras or front doorbell now, and who knows when I will have them back!!! I am currently planning on sending every camera back (I have 7 of them!), and going with another company. RING IS TERRIBLE!!! // Here is some advice - do not call Ring customer service. I contacted them through their Facebook page. I was contacted immediately. They were able to send the email I needed immediately, and I got my cameras back on track! I upgraded to 4 stars - I would have given 5, but they need to work on the customer service you receive when calling customer service. Not everyone has Facebook, and you shouldn't have to go to Facebook to get good service.
