Works as advertised. App shows hardwired, battery life is 100% and it stays there. When I installed it the battery life was 70% it took 3 days to get 100% but it stays there now. I can keep it on high motion detection without having to worry about losing battery. It was super easy to install also, took just 5 minutes. I guess the hardest part was trying to run the wire so it won’t be seen and I do wish the wire was slightly bigger. I just used an extension wire so it was all good. Overall I would give it 5 stars. It saved me paying $300 for professional to come out and hardwire it for me because this makes it an easy DIY project. Thanks Ring!

My ring doorbell needed charged after a month of use, I purchased this power supply and am very satisfied with it. I connected the wires to the ring and was able to run the cord down and out so I could plug into an outdoor receptacle on my porch. The only issue is that I cannot lock my device with the locking screws but that is not a problem. It is so nice not having to constantly charge the battery. This purchase was well worth the price.

So far so good. Only draw back is only 10 foot power cord. Can probably extend farther with standard 24awg belden 1pr cable for 28VAC to outlet that is out of reach.

Originally I left a 1 star reviews as it appeared to not be charging at all, and only slowed the discharge rate of the battery. As of today when I checked the Ring "health" page, it said 100%. Initially I had to remove the battery and manually charge it to get through setup. I have no idea why it suddenly began working but it appears as though the product does charge and works, albeit VERY strangely. I still don't like the way it lets the battery level dip before charging it.

This is a simple, clean looking, and great way to power a wired doorbell (or a battery powered one if you made that mistake). I used it in my detached garage when I purchased a new Pro2 doorbell for my house. The long 10 foot flexible cable allows the cord to be easily fed down inside a wall with plenty of extra to plug into an outlet in the attic. Works great!
