I bought this charger to conveniently charge my Ring camera batteries to have fully charged batteries on hand when a battery change in one of my Ring cameras is required. Sadly, *both* of these chargers (I have 2) malfunctioned. One side/port still works while the other no longer fully charges the battery. I am updating my initial review from 1 to 3 stars as Ring customer service has come through and is sending me replacements for both defective charging stations at no charge. I will update to 5 stars if those keep working! Thanks Ring customer service! UPDATE: So far, both chargers are working well. Ring Customer Service is great even for items sold on Amazon by them (unlike many other vendors). Totally recommend this product and other Ring products bc Ring will make sure their products work and if not will help and replace product. FIVE STARS! ... show more

Purchased this after a cheap imitation failed to work. The ring charger charges two batteries completely full in about 2 1/2 hrs without heating up the batteries. Using the charger cord that came with the original devices takes 9-12 hrs to full charge a Ring battery. The price is high but the it actually works, is fast and safe ... show more

Where I live I was forced to change my Ring doorbell camera from the wired to the battery one. The battery camera does the job I need sadly I need to manually change the battery which is an inconvenience for me. HOWEVER the battery will last depending on the settings on your camera. In short terms if your camera is on a setting to constantly snap pictures and save the longest time on video of footage for any motion detection this will drain the battery. In the worse case scenario that the camera has the least battery saving settings we are looking at about 2-3 weeks of life. If the settings are back to “recommended” settings to help the battery life on the camera you could have it batter for longer than 4weeks. I am unable to remember the longest I had it before changing the battery but it was passed a month the first time. Now! I was tired of having camera down time. And that is why I bought the second one. They both work wonderfully. For reliability reasons I will suggest to go with the brand battery (Ring). When one battery is about 20% and I get the notification to charge it so what I do is just swap batteries to avoid having the camera down for the time the battery is charging. ... show more
