The cable that comes with the Ring cam is 6.5' long. Seriously it is a bit short if you want to place your cam at a higher level from power sockets which are usually under 2' from ground level. So this $15 cable comes in, and there is little option if you are in a hurry to install your cam. it serves its intended purpose, and there is nothing wrong with it. But do you secretly wish Ring could give us a longer standard power cord in the first place?
