When my son's headset finally quit working after two whole years, he wanted to try a different brand. He tried 3 different headsets and sent them back, just to say "I want to go back to RIG" 😂 and he asked me to order this one. Before he had the 800, this is the 900. He is very happy again and hasn't had one thing to complain about. My husband likes RIG but wanted to try steel series. He said as soon as that one quits working, hes going back to RIG. For anyone having problems with this headset, read this It was working just fine whenever I first opened it and was using it then I downloaded the app and then I couldn’t figure out why I had no game sound no more. It’s just a weird game mixer if you can’t hear no sound you most likely have your game mixer all the way set to hearing people talk instead of hearing any game volume. You gotta click the button down and then it’ll say game chat and that’s when you adjust the volume down and then it should be fixed. ... show more

The mic is a joke. I have the RIG 800 for 2019 and it it way better than this. The single volume knob with a button to toggle between game/party chat is wack. Otherwise it is a great headset, great sound and comfort. But without a mic, any headset is rendered worthless, hence 1 star.

My son absolutely loves this product! He has sensitive ears (wears hearing aid) and says it doesn’t hurt his ears, even after hours of wearing. The charging station makes it quick to charge. Will most definitely stick with this brand and this specific product.

    • It is overall a good headset but the connection issues are there. Do not plug dongle into base!

It is a good headset but the only big issue was the connection issue. In the instructions it wants you to plug the dongle in the stand then plug the stand into the computer. But when I use my headset it would randomly lose connection. It was a very frequent issue that would happen in the worst times when I played games. I was so close to returning this headset. But I decided to take the dongle out of the stand and plug it into my computer directly. Ever since I plugged it in my computer directly it hasn’t caused any issues. I think the base loses connection to the computer randomly and causing the adapter to stop functioning because of it. I see connection issues being common with this headset. I think it’s because of the base losing connection. Highly recommend plugging the dongle into the pc directly. But overall it is a nice headset. It is extremely comfortable and lightweight while not feeling cheap. It has an interesting adjustment design but I think it is good. All you do is put it on and it adjusts to the exact spot needed. Not like a traditional headset where two cups are on a track that you adjust. The band is adjusted not the cups so it adjusts to the exact spot needed. Controls took me a minute to get used to but overall it is good. The audio is a bit bassy but for gaming it is fine. Just not an even sound stage. But that is just how gaming headsets are. Overall I recommend but I wouldn’t recommend following the instructions on where to plug the dongle in. ... show more

These are actually very nice. I have had a few versions of this headset. The mic is nice on this version and comfortable to flip. The headset is sturdy enough and I love the wireless dock. The only improvement Id recommend is to make the earcuffs fully out of foam like they used to be or at least sell that variant separately, the leather does not feel good on the ears and sweats a lot. ... show more

Good headset just terrible help they don’t make any replacement parts so if you happen to break the plastic bracket they say there is nothing they can do and the just want you to buy another one third party sellers make replacement parts for other models but not this one
