I am a serious inline skater but occasionally ice skate. I do not like wearing others shoes so I have my own skates. My old ice skates are like 25 years old, and not very sharp. They have some rust and pitting too. I've found these to be very comfortable and they fit true to size. The can go pretty fast too, using double push techniques from inline skating. They are not real ice speed skates though, more for turns and figure skating. I am not an expert in ice skates (I know rollerblades) but my figure skater friend said they are excellent for a causal skater in a rink, as good as you can get. She is a serious figure skater and said Riedell makes some of the best skates, and if someone is competitive or is a pro there are skates from Riedell that are more suited to that, but these can work in pinch too even as a pro.

These are manufactured well, with finely fabricated boots and blades, as well as very meticulous assembly and packaging. The skates feel sturdy and well built. Though not thick, the lining is somewhat plush. The runner comes sharpened, and appears to be of appropriate quality. These should serve you very well season after season of occasional, recreational skating.

My last new pair of ice skates was when I was 10 years old. I still know how to skate, and decided YOLO. So here I am, over 70, and skating again! Now on the fit--they are well made with the padding at the ankle, and enough stiffness to keep the lateral support just fine. The steel of the blade has the concave inner floor and sharp edges for carving those curves and glides. The toe box is quite large (I wear a size eight), and too stiff to tighten down for a better fit. There is one spot where my outer joint on the ball of my foot creates a pressure point. I have average-shaped feet, and am wearing regular socks. I suppose if I put on a thicker pair, it would be a better fit. The shell is easy-to-clean plastic, not leather, so I wonder about the durability over time. But it flexes like stiff leather, so the support and give are there in the design. Overall a good pair of skates from a good company. Now to try for that double axel! (Just kidding...)

Bought this for my daughter and she said it fits really well. The build quality is great and she is really happy with this skates. She usually wears 8 for normal shoes and get a 0.5 shoes smaller for this. She has used them one time and feels great. No more renting skates.

I used to speed skate but those are not allowed inside the ice ring of course, so I was renting these horrible and dull rental skates and was embarrassing myself on them. So finally with this pair I have my own, wharp, well maintained skates that actually slide on the ice. Perfect!

This is a gorgeous, fantastic ice skate!!!! It looks super nice. The price is wonderful. It’s great for a beginner or someone using them just to have fun with. It fit just as expected. Not too tight and no blisters. Easy to get on and off. I’m very happy with them and definitely recommend.
