    • Comfortable skates - I didn’t size them right

These skates are beautiful and quite comfortable. This comes from a person who knows the pain of skating in rentals. There is such a big difference comfort wise between rentals and these skates just by walking around the house (skating season hasn’t started yet). Sadly, it turns out I ordered them too large. My feet measures 9.5” which was 1/8” longer than size 6. Being afraid not to get them too tight, I ordered them in size 7. It turns out to be a mistake as there is too much room even with a pair of thick socks. I wish I would have gotten a size 6 and brake them in because is so imperative that skates are stable on feet while skating on ice. Other than that, they are very well made and just as pretty. Unlike rentals which cause pain from the moment you put them on, these skates are very comfortable. Just make sure you get the sizing right. ... show more

These skates are durable and sturdy. The suede is somewhat soft and firm at the same time. The laces are long enough and they fit perfectly on our 8 year old!

This is a great pair of skates for recreational skaters! I am an adult taking skating lessons for the first time and these couldn't be more perfect. I showed them to my coach and she was very impressed by the quality of the skate, and said that the brand is very reputable. Although I'm not particularly knowledgeable about skates, I do feel that they are very sturdy and feel and look like great quality. They are also very comfortable to wear and have not caused me any discomfort so far, which is more than I can say for many other skates that I've worn. The brown with plaid design is adorable and I can't wait to use them in the winter! Overall I am very happy with this purchase. Do be warned, though, you will have to have the blades sharpened before you can skate on these. Also, they take awhile to get on because of the lace up design. These Riedell skates are made with ice skaters in mind! These skates are actually comfortable when compared to the rent a skates at ice rinks, like 1000% different in every way. They are sturdy and tight with perfect support for your ankles and the blade is a high quality steel that is secured to the boot perfectly. These are a little on the narrow side when it comes to width but I have a little bit of a wider foot. Nothing that is painful but I can feel the tightness. The suede on the outside makes these look super high end in my opinion. I can’t wait to get on the ice this winter and try them out!!! I love the colors on these and the fact that they look like a high end pair of boots. They're very well made and I couldn't be happier with the Riedell brand. Everything about them is well made -- the boot itself is incredibly sturdy yet still padded enough to be comfortable to wear, and the blades are pristine and made to last. I really like the overall look of these skates and like the uniqueness of the pink color. I did have to get them sharpened at our local skate shop before I could use them, but that was no issue. They are easy to skate in and very comfortable, as well.
