Disclaimer - I haven't taken them out on a hike yet, but wow! What a good value already. I paid the same amount for snowshoes from Costco about 5 years ago and the bindings have always been extremely frustrating. I had anticipated needing to spend $200 for a decent pair to replace them, but these had great reviews from an independent research site as well as consumers. I received them today and tried putting them on. Infinitely better than my Costco ones! The ratchets work well and all the straps are nylon vs plastic. There is a nice heel lift and a great, breathable case to store them in. I can't wait until next winter to take them out! ... show more

For the low price paid these are fine for recreational off trail snow hikes. It’s all about the bindings. These are okay, plastic ratchets work but prone to wear out if doing heavy duty daily. Occasional use they get job done. Snow shoe hiking is super fun especially with thermos of hot elixir blanket and Sturdybac chair and backpack. Don’t be cooped up explore the winter. ... show more

Bought these a few months back and finally used them for the first time a few days ago. I had roughly 5” of powder to use them in, they did great. They stayed on and were easy to use the ratcheting straps and take off. These were not good to use on a packed trail. The snow gums up under the heel and crampon part under the toe which throws off your gait then you have to stop and clear out the packed snow which is hard to do and annoying. The heel strap has a removable rubber grip on it. This needs to be shorter in length for those with smaller feet bc you can’t get it tight enough unless you remove this. ... show more

Bought these a year ago and finally got to use them. They fit well. The clips near the front of the foot, when tightening seam to slip so you have to be careful doing the top front ones. But they worked really well.
