Large hide that looks nice and is well made. There are sharp points throughout inside and out, but don't let that discourage you. I used my coarsest nail file and smoothed it down all over until I was satisfied that I could run my hand over it without my skin catching. A piece of sandpaper or a foam sanding block would work perfectly. After it was sanded, I washed with a bit of dish soap and hot water. Then it went into my ball python enclosure on the "hot and humid side". My snake is 1.5 years old and over 24". Fits with plenty of room to spare. It looks like it can fit two of him in there at the moment. The top of the hide is nice and low so even though the hide is big at the moment, he still feels secure inside. He also comes out to bask on top. He loves it and that's the most important thing. ... show more

It didn't sit level soi have to put it on something else. But does hold heat well doesn't smell color was ok so I touched mine up with moss and grit. Should think about the size cause it's like half inch to fit my 40gal and so bigger don't get big that way so it will have hard time fitting how some would of thought. Ever think of doing one with a bottom for egg layers so they can't throw the sand or ect out move hole up some and connect the opening half inch or 2 just a thought. As described, aside from color. Wasn’t a big deal to me, as it was included in the backdrop of the terrarium and therefore covered with silicone and coco fiber. Otherwise very high quality! Good size and No sharp edges, so safe for my snake.

My noodle loves his new hide. He is a 3 ft ball, and this hide could easily fit two of him. It is great quality with no sharp edges and is sturdy. I soaked it for 24 hours before adding it to his new enclosure.

This is a really nice hide for my American Toad! He likes corners and climbing around. Not only is it a nice dark and humid hide for him, but it’s enriching for him to climb on it. Keeps him active!! He even sings more at night with it!! We call it “Louie’s special rock”!

Specifications are not accurate... it's alot smaller than described and for that price i was expecting it to be the size it was described as . Now I have to go through the return process and drive miles away and have to wait days for a refund. Smh
