The media could not be loaded. I like this dress. Its comfy, very stretchy, light enough to not be a suffocating layer but has enough weight to it to hang and twirl nicely. The beige colored one is a bit sheer - but not horribly so. You can see my friends snack bag if you lay it under one layer and stretch it tight, but the dress isnt usually stretched tight enough for it to be a problem. The ties on the neck/bust area are not stretchy and do not change anything - they are purely aesthetic. You can NOT cinch the neckline tighter with them. I ordered mine for a ren-faire style outfit. I paired it with a vest and skirt set both from Scarlet Darkness, and I think it looked good all together (will look even better with some wrinkle releaser lmao). All in all, I would recommend this dress, and would buy again if I needed to do so. I ordered a 2XL but could have EASILY ordered an XL and been just as well off. I am 5'5", I currently weigh in these photos 192.6 lbs. I wear a 38C bra size (on average), and carry a lot of my weight in my lower half, usually wearing a size 22-24 in jeans, and a size 16-18 in dresses. This dress fit extremely well, didnt cling anywhere uncomfortable, the arm holes were great and roomy (not loose or baggy, but not tight in any way). I usually size up in everything to err on the side of caution (you know how it is). But an XL would be a great fit here for me as well. The dress just brushed to top of my feet, and was comfortable everywhere else. If you are shorter that 5'5 you may need to hem this (either with stitching or with iron on hemming patches). ... show more

I absolutely LOVE this dress!!! I’m a plus sized lady who needed a “ren faire” style dress that would be flattering to my shape. This dress worked perfectly! I bought a black lace up corset belt to complete the look I wanted. I forgot to get a picture, but I had lots of compliments. The color I purchase was the dark purple and it is beautiful. The material isn’t very breathable, but the dress is very well made and looks great on. It gave me a waistline with the smocking in the midsection. It’s also very stretchy in the waist, neck, & arms. This fit well and was comfortable, not sheer, quite cute. I ordered my normal plus size and it fit perfectly, but has enough stretch that it also fit my wife (who usually wears a size down). My problem was that I'm very top-heavy, and there wasn't room above the smocking, so the smocked part came halfway up my bust and just didn't look right. It fit my wife beautifully, though. Look, I’m going to hop right to it and get to my personal thoughts after. This dress is of AMAZING quality, with decently thick material (though not too thick, so as to make it too warm to wear in warmer weather) that looks good even when wrinkled due to the design of the dress. Because this is a full-length gown and the material is still good enough quality that it has a little weight to it, I’ve been able to wear just this on days that I might usually have to wear pants and long sleeves/a sweatshirt. The material is completely opaque with absolutely zero transparency. The color of this dress — as well as the one my boyfriend ordered for me after seeing me in it (black) — match the picture perfectly (at least based on how the pictures look on my phone’s screen), and this darker red/maroon/burgundy color is SO so rich!! And let’s talk performance for a second: the TWIRL! You just have to trust me on that one; give it a go once you receive yours. Thank me after!! Now for the more personal tidbits about fit, delivery/packaging, etc.: The dress came on time, and it actually came pretty early in the delivery window as well (both times). Both times the dress arrived and yes, they were wrinkled, however like I said it doesn’t really look that bad/isn’t that noticeable thanks to the design & construction of the dress. Other than that the packaging was incredibly professional and I couldn’t find a single flaw in packaging, delivery, nor the item itself. After I opened up that first one, I slipped it on and my boyfriend loved it on me so much that he himself ordered an additional one in black! This dress just fits so, SO well — it’s fitted in the waist, roomy in the chest, and so free in the skirt that a twirl makes it FLARE out! This dress is perfect! I bought this for the eras tour and it’s exactly what I was looking for. The material is very comfortable and the stretchyness is very forgiving lol. This is a reasonable chemise. It is less expensive than the ones at the Faires. I was in a bind as I needed one for an upcoming event. It is not as soft as the more expensive ones but totally comfortable. I get what others were saying about the rows of stitching being annoying, but it did not bother me overly much. It is made in tiers and has elastic on each tier. It looked good and I got compliments on my overall outfit. It is quite stretchy, so you don't need to size up. It washes well but I took it to the dry cleaners to get the shipping wrinkles out. I liked that you can wear with the capped sleeves up or down. It is quite long but you can tuck it up if it is an under skirt like it was for me. I mainly needed the top part to go with my skirt and plaid. Definitely worth the money. ... show more
