I really liked the look and feel of this shoe but they are not for me. They would be okay if worn barefoot, which I do not like. The shoes have a tongue that is attached by wings of elastic which creep down into the shoe, and I have a slight difficulty pulling it back out. The shoes are not true lace-ups; instead, the lace is fixed at both ends and so there is no adjustability. For this reason, the shoes were uncomfortably tight. Realizing the look is meant to be clean, a short bungee closure would go a long way to making the shoes more universal. Oh to be young again! ... show more

This is the textbook definition of a lightweight, convenient and easy to use day to day walking shoe. The brand is strong and the inner cushioning, especially the support beneath foot arch is unmatched to anything I have worn before. It envelopes the foot and fills in the arch. The easy slip on system is great, it fits true to size and the fit is snug. If you have normal and narrow feet, you will like this one better as compared to those with wider feet who may feel pressure on the sides. The sole is soft rubber which is easy on foot on flat ground (pavement or asphalt). I don't think this is the one for off-road hikes where the ground is uneven, and there are lots of gravel or rocks. The light weight makes it easy to walk around wearing these all day. The flexible, stretchy fabric is gentle to your foot and is breathable.. The color and worksmanship are top notch. They look sportsy and elegant. One main concern for the long haul is that the lightweight gentle structure may, in time, give up their shape and cause sagging. It has not happened yet but, based on my experience with similar style shoes, it may be on the horizon. Also the rubber sole is prone to erosion after heavy use. So there is a trade off between comfort/light weight and overall longevity. One last thing to mention is that the lateral support is slightly lacking due to the soft material and narrow design. So, if you are prone to joint issues like over probation/ supination then you should be careful. In terms of pricing, this is reasonable when compared to similar items from brand name companies. It is not cheap but not terrible either. Overall, clearly it excells in comfort, arch support, convenience, flexibility and style. Longevity and lateral support is the price you pay for those positives. ... show more
