Since I got these two weeks ago, I've been putting them through the ringer. I walk my dog 30 minutes a day wearing these, and I've also taken them hiking on some really rocky trails. I expected them to fall apart with that much abuse, but so far there's no indication of wear. If these wind up lasting over six months under these kinds of conditions, I think I'll keep buying more forever.

I have owned multiple different Reef sandals and I think these are by far the most comfortable. The extra cushion is really nice. Also, as someone with wide feet, most sandals are quite tight for me at first and I have to wear stretch them out and wear them in until the get comfortable. I also suspect this adds to the straps breaking quicker. The straps on these are glued on the outside of the shoe giving them a much a wider feel. Right out the box I was able to fit right into them.

These Flip-Flops are very soft on your feet. These are not some hard plastic flip-flops that kill your feet after a few hours. I have several different flip-flops that don't get worn because I have a few pair of these Reef Phantom Flip-Flops. My oldest pair are about 2 year old maybe going on 3, I have wore the heck out of them. I live down south so they see plenty of use.

Many try but no one compares. These are the most comfortable sandals I’ve ever worn! Love em and I ordered 3 different pairs till I found the right ones. It’s like walking on air. I bought these for my husband because he didn't have any waterproof sandals. He's a die hard Rainbow sandals fan but they are usually not waterproof. We live by the beach and we also recently went on vacation where I realized he could really benefit from some waterproof sandals. We saw these in the store and immediately after he tried them on, he commented on how comfortable they were. He now wears these daily and the best part is that you can simply rinse them off if they get dirty.

Have been wearing this Reef Cushion Phantom model (pictured) daily for about three years. The white marks in the photos are reflections. You can notice some expected wear, but still going strong! Soft without losing foot or arch support and a long-lasting sole. Very comfortable. I wear a 10 Wide (EE) on a normal street shoe (44 EU) and wear a 9 (42 EU) on these flip flops. My heel is at the back of the flip flop without extra material showing behind my heel, which I like. This color - tan thongs (the straps on top of foot) - with brown soles is softer and more pliable than my brown thongs and my black thongs of the same brand and model. The tan thongs (straps) are a material (seem like a very heavy cotton material, but may be leather) with a padded liner beneath (that makes contact with the top of my foot); whereas the brown and black thong tops appear to be leather (definitely thicker and stiffer than the tan) with a padded liner beneath. While I wear all three pairs regularly, for me, the tan pair is most comfortable. The bottom of the sole (that makes contact with the pavement) is a patterned and excellent wearing sole (see photo after three years of wear) that is stable on most wet and smooth concrete. I live at the beach and do not baby these flips flops. I wear them often onto the sand, into the salt water, and come back with mud caked and ground in from walking. They hold up well and don't stretch or blow out. After a coarse rinse and drying time it's just like they were the day before. Great for casual wear complementing swimwear, shorts, khaki pants, and jeans. I just bought a backup pair in tan and hope Reef will continue making this model (Cushion Phantom). Summary: You can't go wrong with tan, brown, or black. Highly recommend without reservation!

The sandals were nicely cushioned, although the strap was somewhat bothersome. I ordered an 11, when my normal shoe size is a 10 1/2 wide. The sandals were too narrow and a bit short, so had to return them.
