  • Very Nice (Unless You Have Narrow Feet); There's A Good Reason Why These Do Not Have Steel Toes!
Size: 10.5 Color: Desert Tan
These boots are really, really nice and very comfortable. I wasn't sure if I would like the side zipper, but it works well. The "pull-on" loop on the back is helpful. But if you have narrow feet you will find your feet swim in the forefoot unless you "pad" with additional (or thick) socks. If Reebok would make a "narrow" version (these "medium width" boots felt very much like "wide" boots), then we would have a SIX-star review. I've found that the 5.11 Men's Taclite 8" Boot is a better fit for my narrow feet (they are equally as comfortable, but lack the zipper). Size of these Reebok boots is about 1/2 size big (I wear size 11, but needed a 10.5 in the Reeboks (the 5.11 Taclite boots ran true: I wear 11 and the boots were an 11)). The zipper makes all the difference in what boot lace-up system is used. You'll note that the 5.11 Taclite boots use eyelets in the fabric while the Reeboks use plastic eyelets. If the Reeboks didn't have the zipper I would not ever touch them because the plastic eyelets are a highly possible point of failure. Given that most will lace up the Rebooks and leave them laced (using the zipper to take off and put on the boot) this is not too much of an issue (ergo, no plastic eyelets on the 5.11 Taclite boots). One other observation. Reviewers have complained that there is no steel toe but that the boots are advertised as safety boots. This is neither misleading nor incorrect. Yes, they are safety boots and yes they do not have a steel toe. But the product literature tells you that Reebok chose to not use steel so that there would be no issue with metal detectors, etc. In any event, the toe may not be steel, but it still seems to offer significant protection. In the end, if you're a lumberjack or the like and need real steel toe protection then these are not the boots for you. But if you are a soldier (etc.) these are perfect boots (and as a former armored vehicle crewman I can tell you not having steel toes is a plus: I remember having a pair of steel-toed boots and they helped my feet to freeze in the winter and roast in the summer). Reebok has done really, really well in these boots. If only they would make a narrow foot version! ... show more

  • NICE
Size: 13 Wide Color: Desert Tan
These are nice solid boots. They are true to size but are a BIG boot. Not your 59 dollar flimsy junk. They are thick , heavy duty boot. Very comfy and finally a normal sized toe box. Most shoes now made in China are smaller then sized . Only slight set back is they are a little bit harder to put on then most I have worn . But the comfort and fit once wearing makes up for it . Also the tounge of the boot could be a little thiner . If you have been buying the 59 dollar ones treat yourself to these you will be glad you did . ... show more

  • 2nd pair
Size: 10.5 Wide Color: Desert Tan
I will continue buying these boots. The most comfortable boots with safety toes, and last a good while considering I’m in construction. The zipper makes it so you don’t have to lace up/lace down, so they’re technically slip offs. The only thing is, they are not waterproof, so you’ll need a pair of backups for when it rains, which I’m fine with that. Still, well worth the price ... show more

  • Decent boots
Size: 10.5 Wide Color: Black
Have had them for just over a week, they take a little longer to break in than other boots I've had. Both boots are not from the exact same leather, they don't equally hold polish and the right takes more coats than the left so be forewarned there. The leather seems to be the same quality, just not necessarily the same hides/cure/storage. The soles seem to be decent quality, I may have to replace the insoles for better arch support sooner than later. The zipper seems sturdy and is convenient for putting them on and taking them off, I'd recommend a shoe horn to help prevent excessive wear out on the inside. ... show more

  • Very light
Size: 7.5 Wide Color: Black
I have worn these boots for decades, since before Reebok bought them from Converse Work Wear. They are light and comfy. The glue on the soles give out in about 3 years now that they are made in china.

  • Comfortable UNTIL YOU START TO WALK AROUND IN THEM
These boots have A LOT of padding from the ankle up the calf, and aare very comfortable UNTIL YOU START TO WALK AROUND IN THEM! I have had them for about 9 months now, and they are still unvomfortable. The problem comes from the heel area, and goes up the ankle. The way the boot is made causes the sides to pinch in on my ankle. The back of the heel has a very stiff piece of plastic in it that cuts into the side and back of my ankle when I walk. The area around the 5th eyelet (counting from the bottom up) kept bending inward and pinching the front of my ankle. I wore them for a few months thinking they just needed to be broken in, but still had the problem. I tried numerous ways of adjusting the laces (running them different ways through the eyelets, skipping certain eyelets) and still could not stop the boot from jamming into my ankle. I have had stitching coming out around the textile parts on the side of the boot, and just recently noticed that the leather on the back of the boot has come apart right above that hard plastic part that I mentioned earlier in this review. If you do purchase these, walk around the house in them for a couple days to see how the heel area feels. Don't do what I did (sat on the couch, put them on, and thought they felt amazing without spending time walking in them.) My use for these was for work. I wore them 8 hours a day, with the majority of that time in an office setting. The other time was spent walking docks, climbing around on fishing boats, and the machinery areas of cruise ships, with a few rocky shoreline strolls. They're perfectly capable boots, feel like bulky sneakers, but expect to have sore ankles. ... show more
