Reebok classic leather earns high marks in terms of style and comfort. This iteration comes in a soft and supportive upper. The eva midsole cushions and absorbs shock. Reebok was founded for one of the best reasons possible: athletes wanted to run faster. So in the 1890s, Joseph William Foster made some of the first known running shoes with spikes in them. By 1895, he was in business making shoes by hand for top runners; and before long his fledgling company, J.W. Foster and Sons, developed an international clientele of distinguished athletes.

I was prepared to not like these shoes as much as I hoped. Strange way to start a review so allow me to explain. I have bad feet. No getting around it, or any way to sugar coat the reality. Bad hoofs. That's me. As a result, most shoes don't get the job done in terms of comfort and durability. It's on those issues that caused concern on these Reeboks because I ordered them to use as an alternative to the sz 15 Brooks Beast shoes which I use on most of my long runs of 4 miles or more. The Reeboks were thought to be a nice change of pace for those lighter workout days when I go only a couple of miles. Anyway, that was the thinking. As it turns out, my concerns were ill founded. The Reeboks are lighter on my feet but also provide the comfort and durability that I was hoping to achieve. They're also perfect for the gym and those 45 minute weight training sessions that I try to get in a few times each week. Another surprise: They can take the pounding of extended runs up to 6 miles and don't hurt my feet, although I'm not expecting to use them in that fashion very often. The overall stability of the shoes is a little too flimsy as my right foot tends to pronate inward at the heel area for some reason once I'm warmed and up to speed. That's a small glitch of sorts and results in a slight downgrade, thus my 4 star rating. That aside, these shoes are better than I expected and represent a genuine value for the money. UPDATE: I've since ordered TWO additional pairs of these shoes in order to rotate them and spread out the wear and tear. Obviously, these are terrific all purpose shoes in my way of seeing things. The two newer pairs, interestingly enough, don't have the pronation problem described in the inital pair. Why this is the case is unknown to me. Reebok has clearly hit it out of the park with this model and series. You cannot go wrong by ordering a pair to see and feel for yourself. UPDATE#2: I've tried to wear them down but they have stood up to the pounding and daily use, to the point where I don't even use my heavier and more expensive Brooks or New Balance running shoes. That's amazing to me. The key is comfort and durability. These Reeboks have both of those qualities so why bother to live in denial? I'm upgrading my recommendation to a full 5 stars and with good empirical reasons.

This is the only shoe I wear other than work boots. I pull out the insoles & replace with gel type. I get about 8 months or so before they become my lawn cutting shoes.

Comfortable, colorful, fun shoe! After 56 years of buying strictly white sneakers, I really had to think out of the box for this purchase. Fortunately, I did, and I love my new, blue shoes!!! Realistically, I purchased these shoes for better comfort when walking. I'm an avid walker, and my most recent walking shoes have not been a great fit for walking. Plus, they were falling into poor condition. Naturally, my first objective was comfortable shoes for walking. However, when I found these colorful, retro blue shoes, I couldn't resist. I've never owned a pair of shoes anywhere near the color of my purchase, but I'm so proud of them! They look and feel great!! Of course, in the beginning, as with all shoes, you must "break" them in. The more you wear them, the more the comfort increases. I have been walking in mine for about three weeks, and they're just now starting to offer the comfort and support I expect. The look and color get immediate attention. The first time out of the house , my good friend immediately noticed and was complimentary! I have a weekly walking group on Tuesday night, and the first time I wore these shoes, every person noticed and made favorable comments. The bottom line; nice, comfortable, colorful, fun shoe!! Great for walking!!
