When I was in high school, everyone wore Reebok leather high-top sneakers. They were unbelievably comfortable, as the leather became more and more supple over time. When I found out that Reebok still made these "classic" shoes, I was excited. But this new version is a joke. The "leather" is hard, cheap vinyl, which you can tell will never get softer over time, and there is no arch support. So uncomfortable! I probably should be surprised. Reeboks cost about $60 a pair 35 years ago, and these were only $45. You get what you pay for, I guess. But for God's sake, don't pay for these! ... show more

The shoes look very nice and the upper appears to be holding up very well but there are two very big issues. The inside has so much extra dye in them its been coloring my feet every day I wear them its been almost 3 weeks this has never lasted more than a day or two with any other shoe ive owned. Several other reviews have mentioned how thin the soles are and it is no joke they are basically not there every rock pebble hard edge soft edge you feel in full detail. I bought these for work because I needed all black and while at work I stepped on a product hook there short with a blunt edge I've done this hundreds of times with even $10 shoes from walmart and its never been a problem with these it went right through the sole with no resistanse if it had been a sharp end it would have went right into my foot. The purpose of shoes is to protect your feet and considering these cost me $60 these shoes are a disgrace and I will never buy Reebok again because of it ... show more

Excellent purchase! So my husband was stuck in his bbq dad shoe phase. Year after year, the same shoe. New each time, but the same shoe style. When my kids told me what bbq dad shoes were, I began to take notice of other Dads. It's true! I had to break the cycle and stat! These arrived in less than 24 hours. Overall, I am satisfied with this pair of sneakers (Reebok Men's Royal Bb4500 Hi2 Sneaker), but there are some details to pay attention to! Sizing: I can confirm, YES indeed, these sneakers are a bit narrow compared to most basketball shoes. So if you even have semi-wide feet, I strongly recommend that you buy 1/2 size up from your normal size. Styling: These kicks look awesome! Very cool designs - lots of options for different colors and patterns. It has an old-school vibe. High-top makes it desirable in both summer and winter. Comfort/Performance: These shoes are definitely casual sneakers for fashion and walking around. I would not say these are serious basketball performance shoes - they don't have the cushion and bounciness that one would expect from a common basketball shoe. The factory insoles are fairly hard and flat. Perhaps changing the insoles to a sports insole could make it better on a basketball court. Price: Excellent! At around $45 - $65 USD, these are a great buy if you're just looking for a pair of stylish casual sneakers. ... show more

I've had chronic ankle pain for over 25 years. It comes and goes. No known cause, no permanent cure. When I have the pain, every step is sharply painful and nothing other than standing or sitting still makes it go away. When the pain stops, there is nothing that can make it come back. I am very active and physically fit. I'm a weight lifter, martial arts instructor, a runner. I walk (usually with dogs) averaging 15K+ steps per day. These shoes provide the ankle support that allows me to ignore my neuralgia when it returns. Hello, I first started wearing the High Tops in the 1980's. They sold Back then for $50.00 which was expensive. The Great Thing is that the price has Stayed Relatively the same! These are comfortable, soft leather, walking, running, whatever Sneaks. Cool looking and they last. I Was Psyched When I discovered that Amazon Sell Them! They Actually Fit. Every time I bought shoes at a Shoe Store, I had to get Double W Wide but these are Single W. I also could have gotten 13's and not the 14's these are also. Love that they are Regular Hy-tops. Can't seem to find them anymore In Stores, Specially Wal-fart and even Harder In My Size of 13WW. Price is Fair. I tied them once, left just loose enough to be slipped on and off but tight enough they stay on. I'm older and bad back, so bending over hurts most times. Also, these are Light on the feet. Now only thing left, is to see how long they last. Wal-fart shoes don't seem to make it a year, some I bought not even 3 months before they are garbage. If I can get a Full Year out of these, I would be happy. 2yrs would be better.. ... show more
