It does seem a smidge big, but I think it will shrink once washed, however, it is pretty soft and I know it will be one of his go to outfits. The material is a little bit thicker than I was expecting, but I believe that will allow it to stand up to wear and tear longer. My son loves the color combination and the style. My son wears size 12 right now so I bought the 14 for him to grow into. I'm glad I did as it seems this is true to size. it's fleece lined so it feels real good on the skin. The quality matches the value.
