This stuff #3 Steel Wool is great for stuffing holes to deter rodents from entering an RV. I have purchased the #2 steel wool too and like it lot, but I think even though this might be a little more stiffere to pull apart with bare hands it didn't cut my fingers or anything like I thought it might do, so this #3 steel wool really works better for my application than the #2. It forms better to larger openings in my opinion, and I've decided to buy more of this when I need to redo the job in a few years. Also, if you need a lot of of this stuff, even though they sell larger bags it seemed like the price was cheaper buying 2 of these smaller bags. But, it all depends on who you buy them from. Anyway, if you need some heavy duty steel wool for many purposes, I would definitely recommend this one. ... show more

The pads are smaller than the ones they are replacing, but I've had these others for years so I'm not surprised. I would have liked the pads to of been the larger ones though and this is why I took a star off. I think these may not be quite as hard on the hands as the old ones.

It does what you would expect steel wool to do. It seems to be of better quality than other brands that I've used. Doesn't "shed" the fibers too quickly and last well.
