I loved them. Very sturdy and the shape was very nice. The sun protection is perfect for driving and walking around in the summer.

  • Rectangle Sunnies
Spark (Initial Impression): As a 20-something cool gal who's been curating my wardrobe like a Pinterest mood board since my first thrifted denim phase in college (think oversized tees and chunky boots that scream "effortless but extra"), I'm all about accessories that add that instant "oh, her" factor without trying too hard—especially sunnies that bridge my coffee-run casuals with rooftop happy hours. Scrolling Amazon during a lazy brunch scroll, I snagged these Retro Rectangle Sunglasses—a vintage small square frame with UV protection that promised '90s nostalgia without the dated dad-vibe. Out of the case, the sleek black plastic frame and tinted lenses felt like a dupe for my celeb crushes' off-duty looks (hello, Alexa Demie energy), and after popping them on for a farmers' market fit check (paired with my cropped leather jacket and straight-leg jeans), they're a five-star slay—lightweight, flattering, and the kind of subtle statement that turns heads without screaming for attention. Glimmer (Product Breakdown): These sunnies are a retro revelation for my daily drip: the small square frame (about 5 inches wide) hugs my face just right—narrow enough for my oval shape without overwhelming petite features, with thick arms that sit comfy on my nose bridge for all-day wear (no pinching after hours at brunch or scrolling TikTok in the sun). The lenses are UV400 protected, blocking 100% UVA/UVB rays for real eye armor during endless outdoor hangs, and the dark tint cuts glare like a boss without distorting colors—perfect for Insta-worthy shots where my makeup pops. They're unisex-leaning but hit that feminine edge with the slim profile, and the lightweight plastic (under 1 oz) means no forehead dents or slipping during sweaty summer walks. I've worn them everywhere: driving with the top down (no wind-whipped hair disasters), festival lurking (they held up to dust and dancing), and even indoor vibes for that "mysterious girl at the cafe" aesthetic. Compared to my old Ray-Bans that feel bulky now, these are a fresh, affordable flex—durable enough for daily drops in my tote without scratches, and the classic rectangle shape mixes with everything from athleisure to mini skirts. Truly, they're the effortless upgrade that's got my OOTDs feeling timelessly trendy. **Lore (Historical Context & Smart Hacks):** Retro rectangle sunnies exploded in the '90s, channeling that grunge-meets-glam era when icons like Winona Ryder rocked slim frames for that "cool girl" nonchalance—a vibe my mom still chases with her faded Polaroids from Coachella '98 knockoffs tucked in her drawer. These nod to that with modern UV tech, blending Y2K nostalgia into today's street-style scrolls for gals who live for the throwback scroll-stop. Smart Hack #1: Pair with a thin chain necklace threaded through the arms for a boho lanyard look—keeps them handy on your tote during beach days without losing 'em in the sand. Smart Hack #2: Clean the lenses with a microfiber cloth spritzed with lens spray (or DIY witch hazel mix)—banishes fingerprints from constant adjustments, keeping that crisp vintage shine for your selfies. Smart Hack #3: Stack with a second pair in gold frames for mood swaps—rectangles for day, ovals for night, turning your sunnies case into a mini capsule wardrobe. Score (Why It’s Worth It & Gift Ideas): I'd snag these rectangles in every color drop—under $15, they're a wallet-whisper that delivers high-fashion dupe energy and legit UV protection, outshining pricier pairs with their comfy fit and endless outfit alchemy. No shade; the size, style, and stay-put power make them a staple for my sun-chasing soul. This is a vibe gift for your brunch bestie, the festival fashionista, or your roommate's "I need cute basics" haul—pair with a velvet sunnies pouch or a chain strap for a "retro ready kit" that'll have them texting "obsessed" on sight. It slays for every gal's glow, from my 20s street-style spins to gifting my lil sis for her first concert fit. Five stars—these frames have my looks (and lens game) framed fiercer than ever. Here's to shades that shade everything else! 😎🕶️ ... show more

  • Not one but two great sunnies??
I lose shades a lot so I wanted something both cute and inexpensive. These were spot on for both of my requirements. They are sturdy and fit great. I don’t like when sunglasses slide all up and down my nose. Thankfully, I don’t have that problem with these! They are easy to dress up or down. You really can’t go wrong. ... show more

  • Cute, sturdy, and stylish
Cute, sturdy, and stylish ! They go with everything and I reach for them often. Sunglasses are a staple to me and these are good quality, they don’t look like dollar store shades (no shade to the dollar store lol) and the rectangular shape go well with my face and elevate any look I have on, I always feel cool 😎 ... show more

  • Red isn't as deep as the photos but good quality nonetheless
I ordered these in black and red. I ordered the set for the red shades in particular. In the photos, the red seemed like a deep editorial true red. I'm really picky about my reds and this one looked to be it. What I received was a brighter shade of red with much more orange in it. I was going for editorial, not vibrant. They are still nice, just not what I expected based on the photos. If I weren't so picky about shades of red, I would likely be happy otherwise. Both shades are of a decent quality in both construction and materials, especially at this price (under $9). I like the rectangle shape, which complements my heart/oval shaped face nicely. I also like the minimalist design. The lack of markings gives them a classier look than more expensive gaudy/flashier designer options. Clean lines and no visible branding is perfect for me. Functionally, they block sun well and stay where I put them on my nose. The arms aren't too tight on my head so they are also comfortable to wear. I would recommend them still, even though I wasn't feeling the shade of red. The quality and value exceed my gripes with hue. ... show more

  • so good and trendy
wait.. I really like these!! They're a good size in terms of the rectangles - sometimes I find other sunglasses too big or too small for my face but these are great. They feel sturdy and well made. My only con is that when I where it for awhile, it does start aching at the ear for me. It's probably a personal issue due to my head shape! ... show more

  • A stylish value
This 2-pack of black & tortoise sunglasses are my style. Unfortunately, plastic lenses scratch easily and I need new pairs. I learned a long time ago not to spend too much on sunglasses. At only $9 for a 2-pack, I can afford to keep myself in new sunglasses with no scratches. These look great on my face and are an excellent value. ... show more

  • Trendy Sunglasses
Comes with two super cute and lightweight trendy sunglasses, as well as a lens cleaning cloth. One pair is black with more of a black tint to the lenses. The other pair is turtle with more of a brown tint to the lenses. I love the look of the small rectangular style of sunglasses, but haven’t ever owned any of my own before. The listing says that both of these pairs of sunglasses are polarized and use UV400 lenses that resist UVA and UVB rays. They didn't have a sticker indicating that they were UV-protected lenses, like normal UV sunglasses do. Still, I can't really make that qualification based on not having a sticker, so I'm choosing to trust the product description that they are UV-protected. I have no way to actually definitively test this, but I hope it’s true because I need that protection when I’m driving in the afternoon! Super worth the price for 2 pairs, I’d recommend. ... show more
