Changing the rear brake pads on the Rhino 450 could not have been easier! Drop the rear skid plate tray to access the two bolts to remove the rear caliper. Remove the two hold down bolts and pull the caliper off. Remove the old caliper brake pads. Next use a wide chisel or large flat blade screw driver and an adjustable wrench to contract the caliper piston to completely closed ( right hand turning) . Fit the new caliper brake pads to the caliper and reinstall on the rotor. Operate the function of the brake pedal and parking brake lever on and off until it is firm. Recheck the brake fluid level and top off as needed. Any and all removed fasteners should have the threads wire brushed clean and anti sieze compound applied to all thread surfaces prior to reassembly. Give a little extra lubricant care for all these parts that see nothing but dirt, dust, mud, snow and ice! Your next brake job will go much faster. ... show more
