I have been buying readers for a while now, each one, in the past, I have had seem to break, the lenses get "foggy" what ever. I'm a technician so I guess I need sturdier than "normal" ones. I got this set of three because I assumed they would break like all the more expensive version I have purchased. But they have not. I bought this set of 3 reading glasses based on the Amazon reviews here. I usually go through so many a year. Most common problems are: lens fall out, nose piece break off, hinge screw come off, frame bends out of shape, frame snap above lens or on stress area of plastic frame etc. I had them all. So far, these are holding up quite well. The frame hinge is pretty flexible and always return back to factory setting. The come with a microfiber bag to hold and also use to wipe the lens. I liked them so much, that I ordered another set as I already lost one. It's worth it to spend slightly more than the $5 ones. Now my only problem is losing these. 5 STARS! Update: I received a email from the sellers about how I liked my reading glasses. So far they are holding up very well. They stay on my head well and it's good to keep them in the silky pouch to prevent scratches. I must have purchased about a dozen of these and seem like I only have about 5 left. I mostly lose or misplace them so that's why I need a lot around and near me. I keep these in my car, my briefcase, by my bed, by my computer, my bowling bag etc. Now I know why I only have around 5. I think a 12 pack sale would be good for these or at least a 6 pack deal. I like it!!!! Still 5 STARS ... show more

This is an update: My email to the seller was well received and they followed up within one day with an apology, thanked me for my loyalty (I'm not being paid for this review) and sent me a complimentary box of 3 for my troubles! Excellent customer service. I've tried out more than one set of readers as I am VERY hard on glasses. I use these daily and I often work outdoors. I used to buy readers at Costco but hated the cheap plastic lens quality and never could see as clearly as my glass prescription lenses. I've tried numerous styles and brands including the highly touted blue filter lenses. These frames are not as sturdy as some, the most fragile part of the frame is on top, next to the nose bridge which cannot be glued back together. I've sent the company an email regarding this issue and will update after they've responded. The weakest part on most readers is the focal area, which is near center. The focal point on these spans the entire acrylic lens and the visual spectrum is the best that I've found without paying for glass lenses. The price point is affordable enough that I budget for them as though they were disposable. I come back every six to twelve months and take the diopter test to see if my number has changed. Just received this 3-pack of readers. EXCELLENT quality lenses and the frames feel very sturdy as well. For the price (around $7.00 each), these simply blow away ANYTHING else out there - especially the ones you can get at supermarkets and pharmacy stores. Have purchased a LOT of readers there, and have always been disappointed - they never last, always break or get lost (of course, my fault on that last one). At this price, you can stock up on these QUALITY glasses and always have a pair handy somewhere around the house or in the vehicle. VERY VERY SATISFIED ! ! ! ... show more

now at the age for the need for readers. purchased a few pair from the local drug store. most of them sucked and were cheap. decided to purchase these after reading some of the reviews. very glad i did. these are nice, clear, good quality, readers. they fit my face just fine and are comfortable. originally purchased a 3 pack thinking that would be plenty. well, after having a pair in my car, my truck, my kitchen. i have now re-ordered another 4 pack. they are so reasonably priced i could not resist. at this point you can never have too many readers laying around! thank you! ... show more

The product is exactly as described, packaged very well and the quality seems to be very good for that price. Design and the material (plastic) are comfortable, so it is convenient to wear (no headache, no marks over the nose after long time of use:-). My advice to those who is buying reading glasses online: do not save time on careful selection. Beside the optical strength, the very important thing is to check dimensions of the glasses you are about to order online. From my experince, to fit well you have to make sure that at least the following most important dimensions are right for you: - frame width - nose bridge - temple (arm) length Carefully measure these dimensions on your existing glasses that fit well (better in millimeters for more granularity, you can easily convert them to inches later) and then look at the description of glasses online. If the description fails to provide precise measurements, do not bother with such glasses. You will be rewarded later by not returning the glasses and not feeling uncomfortable. ... show more

The 5 star rating on these glasses is no fluke. These readers have superior clarity over other reading glasses. You can tell these glasses are built of good quality the first time you touch them. Nice solid, thick hinged frame that fit very comfortably. They come with a soft storage case. I've spent $100's of dollars on reading glasses in the past. Not anymore, I've found that diamond in the ruff and won't buy any other glasses for now on. I keep a pair in my car, truck and bedroom... I even placed another order to give as gifts to friends and family. Great for viewing coins found while treasure hunting.. I use them for reading pin connections on electrical auto wiring, reading schematics and soldering circuit boards... and most importantly, for tying fishing hooks and lures on fishing line... a pair belong in every fishing gear box I love em.... ... show more
