  • Love this headset! Great sound quality and comfort
Style: Xbox
I got this headset to upgrade from my older Arctis 7 headset. In terms of sound quality, this is a significant step up. It puts out great sound overall and the several preset EQ settings are great. I thought my Arctis 7's were comfy but these are a step up in comfort as well. The earpads are very plush and soft, and the headband provides great comfort. Here's the interesting thing: I received the "Xbox" version of these headphones for review and I only have a PS5 and PC. I think this version is great for a PS5 too! Upon doing some research on these, you don't really lose any functionality with the Xbox version on PS5 except for that it does not work with the EQ phone app for Playstation. The app for the Xbox version is an Xbox specific app, but I was actually able to get the Razer app on my PC to be able to create and use a custom EQ on my PS5. The Xbox version works with the Tempest 3d audio on PS5 too, so if you have a modern PC, I do not believe you lose a single thing using the Xbox version on PS5. So if you have multiple consoles, I'd recommend getting the Xbox version. Highly recommend this headset overall. ... show more

  • AMAZING!!
Style: Xbox
My goodness.. U know, I've always had pretty nice headphones. I remember hearing ppl say "you don't realize how much your missing with sounds until you have a nice headset." Which is true when going from lower brand to higher brand. I've always had about $150-$200 range headphones. I never thought id say this with this set I just got but "I never knew how much sound I was missing until I put these on!!" 7.1 Surround Sound. Best I've had was 5.1 it makes a HUGE difference. I LOVE that they have the 1 button on the right cup that quickly changes the sound from "music" to "movie", "game", etc. The mic is very clear and everyone said I sound like I'm a DJ on the radio lol. I said "like how?" And they said "bc it sounds super clear!" 👌 So I am SUPER happy with this headset. The only "gripe" I have is that it's not being recognized by Razors software. So therefore I'm not able to download drivers/new software updates yet. Maybe bc it just came out I need to give it a little time. It says in the instructions to put the dongle directly into the PC, but it doesn't fit due to the weird 90 degree angle of the dongle. So I have to use an adapter to use it from USB to type "C" (provided by Razer) which is fine, but it won't update driver/software. Hopefully in due time. I'm all in with this headset. This is 100% worth it! ... show more

  • Not worth the price tag, Does not work with synapse software
Style: Xbox
Update: I figured out that you need to download the Xbox Razer app on the Windows store and make sure you have a Xbox controller to navigate the menus once you launch the app or you'll have a hard time exiting the app, set the dongle to Xbox and then run the app. The app is like a game its goes into fullscreen and is a pain to use to use since you need a Xbox controller to navigate the menu and exit back to your desktop. The app is lacking in settings compared to the synapse software but you do get accesses to mic and EQ settings. The major settings that are missing are the noise canceling and the THX/7.1 audio. Again no information about this anywhere on Razer site or manual. I stand by my review. They should of stated clearly that its not compatible with synapse, only get this if you want to use this with an Xbox. For PC user's its missing a few good features only available on synapse software. The windows app is horrendous to use. For the PS5 users there's a a Razer phone app that lets you control the settings. I got these to use with my PC and laptop but the there's a huge problem, the headphones do not work with the Razer Synapse software and no where does it states this. Without the software the headphones are lacking huge amount of features, mainly the one to tune the microphone and the EQ settings. Without these the headphones are no different than $50 pair. I also found it strange that the premade EQ settings had a custom setting with no way of customizing it. Headphones feels nice and looks really high quality with no molding marks or sharp edges, very comfortable to use for long periods of time without ear fatigue, the clamping pressure is light/medium so you don't really feel them clamping on you head. The 50mm drivers sounds good and clear but feels lacking in punch and depth. Microphone while these sound better than the average built in mics for headphone they are not great, my voice sounds thin and light compared to my other gaming branded headphones with built in mic. Mic is sensitive and can easily pick up keyboard sounds and mouse clicks. wireless works wells and plays well with other wireless devices without interference. Range is very good was able to use these out in yard with my PC being in my room. Latency is good and I don't see any lag from movements in game to sounds you hear Unless you really need a headphone that works with the Xbox, I would either buy the normal Blackshark V2 Pro 2023 version so you have access to software or buy something cheaper if the setting are not needed for your applications. I wish it was listed somewhere that it dose not work with the software, I've spent 2 days and countless hours trying to figure it out. I stumbled on a video by Razer promoting the headphones, a user asked in the comments about the differences and this is were it showed that the Xbox/Ps5 version are not support by the synapse software. If I knew about the software not being compatible I would of not gotten this, It cost more than the standard version and missing features that are pretty important to get the full potential out of the headphones. Since its software I do hope they add support for it on a later date. ... show more
