I have two pairs of these glasses that are non-polarized and I loved them so much I sprung for this better pair! The fit is perfect and the color of the lenses is great. The frames do look almost black compared to the picture which depicts them to be more of a brown, tortoise shell pattern. The cheaper, non-polarized glasses are a different plastic that is lighter weight. However, these are not terribly heavy. I grew up in Florida and had many pairs of expensive sunglasses over the years. These rank up there with Revos, Vuarnets and Oakleys that I have owned over the years.
