I'm an old school baseball player. I'm not a fan of the new, gimmicky stuff, like 2 piece composite bats, although I did also get a few of those to review for the Amazon Vine program, for baseball and softball. This is an excellent 1 piece alloy bat. It is perfectly balanced, has a good sweet spot, and because it's not 2 pieces stuck together, it is durable and should last a long time. Is it much better than bats that cost 3X less? You be the judge of that - I wouldn't necessarily say it is MUCH better, although it is noticeably better quality. I've played ball with guys who had bats this expensive and they couldn't hit as well as I did with a "lower tier" bat, even on good contact. It's a great bat, if you have the budget for it, but it won't make you a better hitter. That's on the hitter. For the money, though, I would definitely get this over any of Rawlings' 2 piece bat offerings, as it will be a much better value, overall, because it will last much longer, even if you do the tedious break-in of those 2 piece bats. This bat gives perfect balance, great grip, solid contact, good feedback.

My son started high school baseball this year and we spent a lot of time trying out some of the top BBCOR bats before settling on the Rawlings Clout IA. After a few weeks in the batting cage and on the field, the Rawlings easily become his favorite. Several of his teammates are also using his Rawlings as well including this one kid who bunts like a magician. The control that kid has with this bat is amazing. He calls it his magic wand. We compared it against four other top rated bats. All great bats, but both the Rawlings Clout IA and Icon composite both stood out for the balance and forgiving sweet spots. The exit velocity is excellent when you square it up, and the solid barrel seems very forgiving compared to the others on slightly off-center hits. The bat feels balanced rather than end-loaded, which helps my son get the barrel through the zone quickly and maintain good control. He’s a freshman right now and still has some growing to do, so control needs to trump power right now. If your high school player wants good pop, a large sweet-spot and a balanced swing, this bat is definitely worth it. In my experience coaching little league and 12/14U, these single piece bats tend to hold up a little longer than the two piece composite bats.

Finally got this bat in the cage and it swings well! I like the extra 1/2 in and the construct of bat so the sweet spot is a little elongated to give you more coverage. Would recommend.

We purchased the Rawlings 2026 Clout AI BBCOR bat for my high schooler, and it has honestly been such a great investment. From the first practice, he noticed how balanced it felt swinging through the zone. It doesn’t feel overly heavy, and he’s been able to stay quick on fast pitching. The contact feels solid and powerful — you can really hear and feel the difference when he barrels it up. His confidence at the plate has definitely gone up since switching to this bat. The bright color is also a fun bonus — it really stands out in the dugout and on the field. BBCOR bats aren’t cheap, but as a parent of an athlete, I want equipment that performs and lasts. So far this bat has absolutely delivered. If you’re looking for a high-quality option for a serious high school player, I would definitely recommend this one.

Solid build, quality you can feel before you even take the wrapper off! Right out of the wrapper this bat was ready to go with no break in drama. Grip felt comfortable immediately and the swing felt natural from the first few cuts in the cage. It does not feel end loaded or sluggish and it was easy to get the barrel through the zone without overthinking it The 31 inch size fit me perfectly and felt balanced in the hands. Barrel control was solid and it stayed true even on swings where I didnt catch it perfectly. When you square one up you can feel it instantly and the feedback is clean without any sting Build quality is excellent and it feels like it can handle a full season of hard use. The alloy feels strong and responsive and the barrel has that crisp pop you want without sounding hollow. After a bunch of cage work it still looks and feels brand new For the money this bat feels like a great value especially with the performance it brings. It gives you confidence in the box and feels consistent swing after swing. If you want something that hits hard feels smooth and looks sharp this one is tough to beat ⚾😄

The Good: -Good pop after break in -Durable -Balanced swing weight -Looks great -Comfortable grip The Bad: -None The Bottom Line: I really like this Clout AI bat. You do have to break it in a bit before you start to see better exit velo #s. The weight is balanced and swings easy. The grip is comfortable and the bat feels durable since it’s a one piece. Even with a ton of hits in the cage, it is still in great shape. Overall, I would recommend this bat for its performance and value.

Incredible bat! My son needed a bbcor bat to play juniors and had previously only used his USA bat for majors so I was a little worried how the weight difference was going to affect him given that he went from a -10 and -8 to a -3 with bbcor. However, this bat is so well balanced and has such a great sweet spot that it’s been little to no adjustment for him at all. What I liked: - really fresh and stand out yellow color. Makes an impact and a confidence boost walking up to the plate. - this bat is designed for an extended sweet spot with the barrel design and I agree that it’s design allows for pops and after pops even without perfect contact. - comfortable grip - only minor scuffs with weekly use over the last month and seems durable. - well balanced What I didn’t care for: - not the best shock absorption with mis contacts. Overall I was really impressed with this bat the the performance my son had using it. It’s a little pricey but worth it and comparable to other high end bats. It’s going to be a show stopper on his team this year and a real confidence booster. Highly recommend!
