If you're looking for a low swing weight bat with pop, good tech, is durable, and won't make you question why you're paying so much for a stupid bat, then you've found an excellent option! I'm two years into being a "baseball dad," and the child I purchased this for just happens to be good at baseball. His travel team uses USSSA, and I happen to be a researcher - you know, the person that will spend hours reading reviews and articles before making a purchase - and I stumbled across Bat Digest. I read through a lot of their philosophy and understood that swing weight, and more specifically, how the proper swing weight propels a youth player's improvement, is super important. Fast forward to using Bat Digest's AI bat picker, and it recommended this thing. After some more research, I bought it. My son hit with it today, and WOW! He was hitting just as far and even farther than the kids hitting Cat Xs. So to say I'm pleased would be an understatement. The one thing I didn't like about the bat is the grip that it comes with is THIN. For a one-piece metal bat, I knew it needed a better grip, so I replaced it with a 1.8mm lizard grip and *chef's kiss*. I play tennis so I know enough to know when a grip isn't good and I knew right away. During practice, I kept asking my son if he was getting any stings from hitting and the answer was always no. He looked so comfortable, and you could tell he was more focused on hitting the ball than swinging the bat. ... show more

We got this bat for my son because it looks nice and was a good deal, but little did we know it is the hottest bat around by 3-4mph! I'm a data nerd and we have tested against 5 other well known bats (CatX, Icon, Cat6, F5, Meta). The only one that kept up is the Rawling Icon, and that is $250 more than I paid for this bat! I bought this for my 9 year old who is moving up to kid pitch. I ordered several bats for him to try as well as going to various stores to swing bats. This was not the bat he was most excited to try but after swinging it, he instantly loved it and declared it the winner. His previous bat was a drop 12 but this bat doesn't feel heavy to him like some of the others he tried. He recently attended a baseball camp and apparently, this bat caused quite a stir, he said a lot of the players wanted to try it and some decided to use it every time they were at bat.
