My two-year old announced that she wanted to be a banana for Halloween. After an extensive verification process, I decided it was actually true and not the ravings of your typical two-year old. The costume is easy to put on and take off. It says to just surface wash, but after putting it through our machines' delicate cycle, it came out beautiful. Even the six month old black frosting stains came out! The only problem with the costume is that shortly after the first time wearing it; the face area developed a few runs in it. However, they have not spread or shown up in other parts of the costume. This could be remedied by sewing edging around the face area. We are quite please with the costume overall. It took a little bargain hunting to find the lowest price ($18.27 including shipping in October 2010). We look forward to another year or two of wear before it is outgrown. This was a decent fit for a slim 11 year old girl. It is cheaply made so she wore it for Halloween and it was in the trash the next day. Didn't hold up to make it to the dress up clothes. But it worked for what we needed!

I bought this for my 12 yr old son for Halloween this year & he enjoyed being a banana very much! I had to stuff the top & bottom of the banana with some poly fill in order for it to look right but other than that it looked great just the way it was. He has worn it several time after Halloween just for fun...thanks to the "I'm a Banana" song/video on youtube. ... show more

Teen Size was perfect for my tall and tad chunky 10 year old. It will require a layer of clothing underneath. Minus one star because it is flimsy and you have to stuff the top and bottom to fill it out.

I had the pleasure of running The Color Run here in Grand Rapids, MI dressed as a banana with two of my gym friends. We had a blast & ended up being the only three bananas there. The shipping is not okay. I selected 2 day shipping as Halloween is coming up, placed the order Friday afternoon and received it Wednesday afternoon. I was charged more then the costume is worth for 3-4 day shipping. The costume itself is fine, I'm 5'2 and 120 lbs and it fits great. The instructions say to stuff the top and bottom, i thought people just did it to improve the costume but that is the way its designed. ... show more
