If you were like me and purchased Costco's Michelin windshield wipers, you may have experienced the subpar quality compared to these. For whatever reason, the Costco ones have gotten worse? I purchased those for years but recently, they have been of poor quality. Here comes Rain X saving the day. Immediately after opening and installing, I can tell the quality is definitely better and worth the higher price point compared to Costco. Got the wipers yesterday and installed. Easy install. It was perfect timing to try them out because it was raining pretty good. Let my windshield get very wet, to the point I couldnt see. Wipers did a fantastic job clearing the water. However, what it did do is the smaller (passenger side) leaves a residue mark on my glass. Checked the blade to make sure it wasn't damaged again and it left black rubber marks on my finger. My windshield was clean when I installed (cleaned it right before install) so I know it's not dirt. So just watch out for whatever this residue is that I'm now having a hard time getting off my windshield. ... show more

These wipers are very good and really easy to install. There is a chemical coating on the wiper blades that is activated by spraying water on the windshield and running the wipers for about 3 minutes after installing them initially. The coating is then spread across the windshield that causes water to bead up on it. These wipers glide quietly over the windshield. Some reviewers mentioned that they leave streaks, I don’t share that assessment. I can’t speak about longevity as I just installed them a week ago. I've spent most of my life refusing to pay more than $6 for a windshield wiper.. until we went through multiple sets on my wife's Toyota Camry - and everything on the internet pointed us to these. Holy cow are they great. The Rain-X soaked blades treat the windshield, and we couple that with Rain-X treatment in the washer fluid tank. Result is a much less need to use her wiper blades, and when she does the wipe leaves the windshield crystal clear and clean. They have held up 3 months now, still working great. A bad wiper set can mean the difference of preventing an accident - so yes $30 is still expensive, but cheap insurance in the end. Being able to buy in a bundled set from Amazon is a huge pro. First, follow the manufacture installation instructions. Once the wipes are properly installed, the rain-x coating works great. The instructions are clear on installing on the various types of connections. So far the wiper blades give you clear visibility during inclement weather.
