Just arrived today. Fits as expected. I’m 5’5”, 175-180 pounds, 36DDD. The recommended size was L but based on reviews, I sized up to an XL to make sure it wouldn’t be tight around the chest. I bought the magenta and the color is beautiful. The material is thinner than I thought, but comfortable and not see through. It came very wrinkly as expected, but nothing a wash and run through the dryer or steaming won’t fix. It’s a little loose and I could have fit fine in a L, but I appreciate the extra room for comfort and modesty. It still lays beautifully. Great length down to my ankles. My arms are a bit large proportionally to my body and I appreciate the extra room and comfort. It’s going to be a great summer dress for wearing around the house, going out to dinner, or casually wearing around town while grocery shopping or going to the farmer’s market. For Reference: I am 5’5” and 195 lbs. I wear a 38D. I am 47 inches at my widest around and 46 around my hips. I love the pattern and color of this dress. The material is soft and on the thinner side. It’s not like the rough thin material a lot of other dresses are made of. I love the shape and the fabric isn’t see through. The dress does go down a ways and shows quite a bit of cleavage, but could easily be pinned closed. You definitely will want to size up if you are anything bigger than a 38D. It was on the tighter side, but not too tight I wouldn’t have worn it. There are no pockets. I ended up returning it because I was looking for a dress that was almost floor length. Let’s start with the good. The pattern is a really pretty cut, and I really like that the sleeves are much longer than other dresses. The red is a lovely color. I’ve purchased this dress in the solid red, white with blue pattern, and blue with pink flowers but this review is for the solid red. Now the cons. The white and blue dress fit as expected. The red fits smaller than the other dresses. None of the dresses have any stretch. I laid the red dress on top of my other dresses and it is visibly smaller than either the blue or white. I hand wash all of these dresses with cold water, let them air dry, and then I steam them with a hand steamer. If you wash and dry these any other way they will shrink so much that they won’t fit. You can dry clean them to retain their size, but I work in environmental remediation and will not take my clothes to dry cleaners as most places still use toxic chemicals that harm your family and the environment. Anyways, the red dress comes with the most awful stench. At first I didn’t notice the smell and wore it straight out of the bag (after I steamed it to remove wrinkles) and had to leave my plans early because the dress smelled so bad I couldn’t stand it. I washed it with the above method and that didn’t help at all. As a last resort, I purchased a heavily scented laundry detergent (I normally use a naturally scented detergent) and let the dress soak in the detergent for HOURS and I’ve just finished steaming the wrinkles out after air drying and the smell IS STILL THERE. It’s like a heavy petroleum stench so I’m guessing the fabric dye is a petroleum derivative which is horrible to have against your skin. Between the inconsistent sizes, the super tedious laundering process, and now the AWFUL smell, I can’t recommend this dress. I’m a size 12 and ordered the XL. Hope this helps. ... show more
