    • What a fantastic system to keep my phone on my bike

I looked at a lot of different system for mounting my phone to my bike. I came from an iphone that had a plastic sleeve that mounted to the bike, but by new S4 didn't fit! Quite the conundrum. I really liked the way the quad lock locks the phone to the mount without relying on some sort of pressure or tension on the outside of the phone. Competitor products with little sliding arms that grip the sides of the phone don't seem sturdy and obscure buttons. I planned on using my mount on regular road cycling, hard pack with a hybrid, and mountain biking. So far it has performed superbly for those activities. I am no Chris Froome, but I do love to ride my bike a lot. I've done about 100 miles so far with this system. I have also installed a mount in my car which was simple and also works great. All the mounts have been solid with no issues with the phone dismounting on it's own or coming loose in any way. It is securely locked in it's position. However, when it is time for dismount, the process is super easy. This bike mount is really easy to install and take off. It makes it really easy to switch it from bike to bike. The look of it is just so clean too. Almost every time I go on a group ride someone comments. One guy said it reminded him of the screen in a tesla but bike style. I think this is because, when attached, you see nothing but the phone floating there on the handlebars. This has the incredible benefit of the phone being easy to access. All the buttons are there like they normally would be and there is nothing in between you and the screen to get in the way of regular phone functions. I have texted while riding my bike. Pretty amazing! My only issue with the system is a blunder I made that you don't have to repeat. I bought the Neo Hybrid case to attach the adapter to. While it works fine and I really like the case, choosing a case with a flexible back turned out to be a little aggravating. It adds a little flexibility into the whole set up. While it's nothing awful and not annoying enough to order a new case and adapter, if I could go back in time, I'd have ordered a solid case. ... show more

I tried four bike mounts before purchasing this one -- they all sucked in one way or another. I don't have one complaint about this one. It works perfectly, my phone does not jar around on bumpy terrain, the phone doesn't slip down allowing bands to press buttons and such, and the most important part is that it's quick to use and doesn't require a lot of fumbling around. It's straightforward, easy to use, and the mounting piece which is very small, can be stuck on the back of your phone, your current case, or like mine, on a case that I use just for bike riding. I hate paying extra shipping for things, especially when they way mere ounces, but I would even pay the shipping for this item. I had begun to think that the cycling industry and or the phone industry had failed riders miserably... Until I came across this little gem. ... show more

I use my iPhone as my cyclometer and have tried several different mounting systems over the years. With other systems there has always been the thought in the back of my mind that somehow my phone could work its way loose and go sliding down the street with awful consequences. The Quad Lock is the perfect way to lock my phone on and leave no doubt about its security. The phone clicks when it is in place and there is no chance it will accidently work its way loose. The method of mounting the Quad Lock on my bike is the simplest I have seen.     • Sweet mounting system!

The entire system is by far the best I've seen for mounting iPhones. I tried and returned a few other systems throughout the years. I was concerned about the "hump" on the back of the case with the Quad Lock system, but it's hardly noticeable and sits much more flat than I expected. It sits on a table better than the iPhone 6 does with its stupidly bulging camera lens. I will likely be getting the car mounts and got some wall mounts and eagerly await the new style of bike mount that may work better considering my tubes make an odd angle of viewing on the handlebars. It will also fit more securely on my motorcycle if I want. Other mounting devices would no way work on my motorcycle as they seemed cheaply made and overpriced. While the Quad Lock system is pricey and requires a dedicated phone case and proprietary mounting hardware I can say it's the best way to mount your phone to your bike. I previously bought a $60 Quad Lock Out Front Mount Pro and it was simply awesome however with my new bike the handlebars were simply too thick and since I still wanted to use the Quad Lock system I decided to get the Stem Handlebar Mount at $30. The Quad Lock mounts by no means any kind of value, but simply they are some of sleekest most secure ways to mount your phone to your bike. The handlebar mount uses basically super tough rubber bands to mount and/or you can use the provided zip ties. I would recommend using double sided 3M tape to mount the Quad Lock since this will keep it from moving around while installing the rubber bands and provide overall stability. I actually think mounting and unlocking on the stem/handlebar version is easier than the out front versions. I am interested to see how long the rubber bands actually last since I had to use the larger included ones and a lot of tension was required since my stem is fairly thick. ... show more

I mounted these on Profile Design UCM Aerobridge Computer Mounts on our Tri bikes. I couldn't be happier with these mounts. On a Tri bike there isn't room to twist a phone on the neck of the stem. Also, it is really hard to look at the stem neck while leaning forward on the aerobars. Even worse, there is a lot of sweat that lands right on the stem. So, that is the last place you would want your phone mounted. Now our phones are tucked neatly between the aerobars between our forearms. Super secure and reliable. Great purchase. I don’t have to worry about my (expensive) phone flying off my bike. So no liability issues. It’s very easy to mount on another bike, too. I loved it so much, I got another one to avoid moving it from one bike to another! So you can utilize the plastic zip ties for a more “permanent” mount or the tough, rubber band-type loops you can remove when necessary. One drawback is the challenging aspect of removing the phone with ease from the mount. I guess it’s doing it’s job of securing your phone very well, but if you like to handle your phone frequently (e.g., to take photos as you ride) it can be difficult to do so with one hand. If so, going to the version with the arm extension would make sense. Still, a great product. It’s about what are your preferences. You can’t go wrong either way. I highly recommend it! ... show more
