It’s a great telescope for beginners. My son loves it. It’s easy to assemble after throughly read the operation manual. It’s also easy to get packed in a compact bag. Chicago is quite cold outside, we didn’t get so many chances to explore the gorgeous sky due to weather. But we did see the moon clearly. I really love this telescope, however because it is still cold here with snow on the ground, and most nights are cloudy, I have to wait until things warm up a little to actually use it.

    • The tripod needs to be much higher
The scope is great. The tripod is much too short to use the scope without kneeling and/or lying down. I am trying to find a much taller tripod for the scope.
