I think it's pretty expensive but it's cheaper than other protein bars. It seems to be cheaper on Amazon than in grocery stores too. It is pretty delicious from all of the other protein bars I've tried while it having a high amount of protein. For me as someone who Loves Lemon Cake and who needs the extra protein for medical reasons, These Are Freaking Amazing!! Is it Lemon Cake and am I expecting it to taste as decadent and luxurious as real lemon cake? NO, because it's a protein bar. But I Love The Taste and The Amount of Protein 20g and Calories at 200 is perfect for me and what I need. Whether it's with my coffee as a breakfast meal replacement or when I'm craving something like actual Lemon Cake as a snack, this is the perfect bar for me!! I'm truly glad that I found these!!

These Pure Protein Lemon Cake Bars are super yummy! I can definitely tell they are protein bars -- but they are an excellent substitute for lemon squares with 20 grams of protein (YES, please)! Just the right amount of sweetness...and bright lemony goodness! I look forward to treating myself with one everyday. It is a filling pick-me-up snack when I need an energy boost -- and it satisfies my sweet tooth! I get the 12 pack -- and it is worth the price!

I otherwise would give these 5 stars because they taste great, but my package arrived with one bar missing out of the box. So I paid for a 12 pack but they gave me an 11 pack. Edit: my previous rating was a one star but I’m gonna give it 5 because the pure protein customer and Amazon customer service did great and sent me a coupon and free replacement because the box packaging was jacked up and I was missing a bar. So advice for other buyers: if your box comes in all jacked up and you’re missing stuff, make a call to customer service and they will help you out. Also again, the bars really are so freaking good, they are genuinely my favorite protein bars.

I reviewed the birthday cake version of this product and it was ok but it was your typical gritty bitter protein bar with birthday cake icing. This is pretty much the same thing except the lemon cake flavor and lemon icing have such a strong yet pleasant taste that it completely tastes like a lemon square or lemon pound cake and you can barely taste the protein bar. It still has the usual gritty chewy protein bar texture, but the flavor is pretty much perfect. I will say that the icing on this bar is a little bit greasy compared to the birthday cake version and that makes it less stable on a hot day. But if you have problems choking down a gross protein bar because it's bitter, chewy, and nasty, this might work for you because the flavor totally distracts me from the texture. Similar to my other review I like this product because it provides a decent amount of protein without a ton of fat. The protein bar market has been catering to the keto crowd lately and they cram as much fat into their products as they do protein. This is a fair 5 grams of fat to 20 grams of protein.
