One star because you can't give any less. The box is good and strong, the pads are thick and large - the problem is that there is no barrier to keep the urine of a 6 pound chihuahua from soaking through to the floor. These are better than newspaper ONLY BECAUSE they are easier to pick up, but be sure to wear gloves when you do or end up with your hands soaked in your doggies wetness. Make sure to have a mop and bucket of water with some sort of cleaning chemical in it to clean the area once you pick up the pad. No issues with the seller - just the manufacturer - I should send them a bill for the time spent cleaning the floor after using their product. These are a terrible was of money. ... show more

I have three dogs and one of them is a senior dog who drinks a lot of water and pees constantly. The senior dog is a beagle about 40 lb. I took some photos to show how I set it up so that there are no misses and then also I added photos that showed how much she peed you could see how yellow it is on the pad but the backside doesn't leak through. These are the first pads that I have tried that they truly do not leak through even if they sit there overnight with p. At $0.40 a pad it's about eight to ten cents more than I would like to pay but without having to constantly wipe up underneath the pad it's well worth it. I have gone through a number of brands of training pads and I have not come across any as good as this one. They are so thick and they do not leak at all. I am really impressed with the quality. I have an older German Shepherd that is unable to walk and can't go outside to potty, so we need pads under her at all times. I have tried so many different kinds and didn't like any of them. Then I tried these pads! They are large enough, absorbent, and don't leave that awful lingering smell. They will rip if tugged on, so be mindful of that. I highly recommend them!! ... show more

I tried these because per pad they were 40 cents and Frisco Chewy's brand that is comparable to Wee Wee pads was 50 cents. These are thinner than Frisco potty pads, Chewy's brand. They did keep the carpet dry under the pee spot. I thought I would buy these and only buy Frisco pads when on sale. So I put 4 boxes in my cart 12/5/18. I was going to buy them today 12/6/18 only to find they had gone way up in price. Now Chewy's Frisco pads are not only cheaper but better. I am still using the box I bought of Best Pet Supplies and I just changed my dogs potty pads. I went to shake out a Best Pet Supplies pad so I could put it down and it tore. ... show more

    • Hard to open, but great otherwise
This may be a trivial thing to knock off a star for, but these pads are difficult to unfold. You'll probably open any pad, regardless of brand, by giving it one big flap/snap downwards to unfold it all at once, but these particular pads require such vigorous flapping to unstick the folds that it might unnerve your dog. If the dog is new, the last thing you want is to startle it into fearing the pads. Otherwise they're good pads, I use three at a time in each location (my dog doesn't like to pee and poo on the same pad) but one box lasts me weeks. I put one pad face down, then two more the right way up over it. The face-down one protects the floor if the dog piddles too close to the edge -- the waterproof backing works, but that's a problem if liquid gets under the pad and can't evaporate, especially if you have laminate floors or older hardwood floors with lacquer finish. I put two pads face up partly because dogs like cushioning under their feet when they're balanced to pee or poo, so giving my dog extra padding keeps her off the doormat. It also makes it easy to clean up in a hurry if someone drops by, I can just grab the soiled pad on top and hide it and worry about replacing it later. It's embarrassing to have a conversation with a neighbor with pee circles in sight. These pads are big enough that my dog doesn't travel off them very often, which she does with the standard size pads, but they're also big enough that she can use one pad several times before I have to change it -- there's no smell or leak-through. I prefer the Amazon brand pads but got these when they ran out, and I'm pleased with them overall. They're a bit annoying to unfold though. ... show more

I bought these pads because Amazon was out of their heavy duty pee pads. I am so glad I was pushed into this purchased. These pads are thinner than the Amazon pads, but leak less. The main problem I had with the Amazon pads was that the dog would not get all the way onto the pad and end up peeing on the side. And then I would have a runny mess for at least a foot under the pad. Yuck! For whatever reason my handsome prince now gets all the way on the pad. I very rarely have clean up when I pick up the pad. So surprising for a pad that is not as thick. Whatever the materials, they are doing a better job than the heavy duty pad. I will be buying these in the future. Very pleased! ... show more

I am definitely happy with the size of these pads. I am undecided as to whether these big pads are economical or not. The dogs will go in one spot but then you have to throw away the whole pad. Maybe the smaller, the more economical since the used spot is not usually very big and most of the area is used and ready to throw away. These pads are definitely for female dogs (bitches) and all puppies, especially the male dogs before they lift leg to "go". ... show more
