  • Glow-Worthy Glasses
I recently picked up this set of two novelty drinking glasses, and they’re a fantastic find for anyone who loves a quirky twist. As someone who collects minerals, including some radioactive ones from nearby decommissioned mines, I couldn’t help but grin when I spotted these clear glass tumblers shaped like metal storage drums, complete with an etched radioactive symbol on each. They’re perfect for adding a bit of playful edge to my daily routine. The glasses arrived in a sleek retail box, thoughtfully packaged with each glass individually wrapped in bubble wrap. They were snugly secured, ensuring no risk of damage during shipping. The radioactive symbol etching is subtle and tasteful, striking just the right balance without being too bold. That said, while the seller claims these are dishwasher-safe, I’d recommend hand washing to preserve the etching’s crispness over time, as is often the case with etched glassware. Each glass feels great in hand, with a comfortable grip and a true 16-ounce capacity as advertised. I’m genuinely impressed with these novelty glasses. They’re stylish, built to withstand regular use, and even rated for temperatures up to 450°F, which adds to their durability. At their reasonable price point, they’re a great blend of fun and function. These drum-shaped glasses are sure to spark conversation at our next family picnic, and I’m thrilled to have them in my collection. ... show more

  • Nuclear lunch detected
Old video game references aside, I really love these glasses. The design is great, and the "ribs" around the barrels make for better grip, which is nice. The radiation symbol is a great touch, though the listing pictures have it slightly darker than reality, it's not by much. Borosilicate glass means that though the glasses feel a little delicate, they should last, and they are definitely dishwasher safe. Really, they seem like a fancy beaker, which is pretty appropriately science-y, too. They are a little pricey at 11 bucks per glass, but for something this nice in borosilicate, still a decent value. I should also mention that the box (not the shipping box, but the box the glasses were packed in by the maker) arrived slightly smushed. Some stronger cardboard, especially for the lid, would probably help. I'm a little sad I don't drink, because I really want to try a Black Mesa cocktail or a Gravity Well Brewing Resonance Cascade in one of these! ... show more

  • Thin but Fun
The glass on these is a little thin, but consistent. An odd effect is that the barrel ridges are shaped glass, not additional glass, so where there is a ridge it's pushed out from the inside. This includes the rim at the top where you put your mouth. This wasn't unpleasant, but was a strange effect. In spite of the little bulges inside the glass it wasn't difficult to clean by hand, and the emblem is etched into the glass so I wouldn't be too concerned about using the dishwasher. Unfortunately the corollary of that is that because it's etched, the emblem is a little difficult to see sometimes. For a pair of glasses at $22 total, they are perfect for my energy drinks that my family calls "toxic waste" already, but definitely only worth it as a gimmick. ... show more

  • Fun novelty glasses
These are surprisingly thick compared to my other borosilicate glassware, but I still would load them carefully into the dishwasher (I stuck plastic/silicone items between them and other glasses.) The design is adorable and I'm pleased with the capacity. The only bummer is that the radioactive logo is just frosted on the glass, so you can't see it that well when it's full. From the photos I was expecting a grey symbol to contrast with the drink, so they should make that clearer in the photos or product description. Normally I would ding a star for that, but the price on these is pretty low considering the quality, and they're entirely for my own amusement (and I know it's there), so I'm still very happy with them. I knew the perfect beverage for these would be soda with this yuzu pineapple syrup that always throws me with how neon it is, and was not disappointed with the results! My camera's not picking it up well, but trust me--this looks bright neon yellow in person. ... show more

  • Just a nice glass, not a gag gift as I expected
Well, I was tricked, expecting glasses that either had the toxic acid coloring or said toxic on it or something funny. Instead, inside a decorative box are 2 barrel or bamboo shaped clear glasses with a light logo on them. I can't tell what the logo is but I guess it is the sign for 'radioactive'; the logo is very light and I doubt anyone else would immediately realize what it was and what the supposed joke is supposed to be. The two ridges for the shaping make it easier to hold the glassware if there is condensation. This is a nice set of glassware, but the price seems a little high. Perhaps the decorative box is the gag gift, making the receiver believe they are receiving a radioactive product but instead getting 2 normal tumblers. I'm unsure. ... show more

  • Nice shatter resistant drinking glasses.
These clear drinking glasses check all the boxes for me. They are a well made set of drinking glasses with no defects. I like the toxic design on the glasses & the three level glass design that reminds me of a nuclear waste barrel (so bro-ish). Also don't let the slim glass look fool you they actually hold as much liquid as my large coffee mug. They will be used often in my household. I like them a lot. ... show more

  • Look just like 50-gallon drums
Great glasses. They seem very thick and look really cool with any color drink. Especially anything yellow or red. When you have a colored beverage in them the radiation warning emblem really stands out and they definitely look like 50 gallon drums. I am so happy I got these. I love stuff like this.

  • They're pretty decent
These glasses are decent. They're plastics, but cute.
