Used this indoors in a climate-controlled gym for light warm-up swings. We weren’t hitting baseballs. We weren’t hitting softballs. We weren’t even hitting anything hard. Foam balls. On swing #8, the “paddle” portion snapped clean off and the bat became a two-piece set. If your “training bat” can’t survive foam, it’s not training equipment — it’s an expensive lesson in disappointment. Save your money. ... show more

The grip is not very sticky. So when you hit, the bat keeps turning a bit. Other than that, its a good product. Daughter has been hitting with softballs and found it helpful.

I would of left zero stars, second time using it the handle snapped in half. Daughter is 10 yrs old. And hitting off a tee into net at half speed.

    • Important to note, paddle bats are not meant for real baseballs.
I would like the description to reflect that this bat should not be used with real baseballs. Wiffles , foam balls or other light weight balls should be used.

    • Promising Training Bat - Initial Impressions Are Strong
I recently purchased the PSG 31" High-Grade Pro Maple Flat Half Paddle Training Baseball & Softball Bat for my baseball-loving nephews. While we haven't had a chance to put it through a full season of rigorous testing yet, the initial results are very encouraging. The few times they've used it in practice, I've noticed a positive impact on their swing balance. The flat paddle design seems to be doing its job in helping them focus on contact and bat control. The maple wood feels solid and durable, and the overall construction appears to be high-quality. Baseball season is just around the corner, and that's when we'll really be able to put this training bat to the test. I'm excited to see how it performs over a longer period. So far, I'm very happy with the purchase. It seems to be a well-made and effective training tool. I'm giving it 4 stars for now, and I'll be sure to update this review after we've had more time to use it extensively. If it continues to perform as well as it has so far, I'll happily bump it up to 5 stars. ... show more
