    • Assembly Is Simple, But Can Be Difficult
Putting it together is fairly simple, but the screws needed quite a bit of torque that is kind of difficult to do by hand. It's usually a bad idea, but I use a power drill on the low setting to make it a bit easier on my hands to put it together. This cuts down on overall time as well. The shelf itself once complete holds a fair amount of books of varying sizes. It's definitely enough storage for everyday reading near an accessible location like a desk or something like that. This simple wooden bookshelf has enough room to store several paperbacks in an attractive, "off-kilter" way. It's designed to sit on a desk and has room for knickknacks atop its base. I really wish the bottom shelf attached to the base directly, as I'm concerned that if this were to fall it would snap easily. Got this handsome looking wooden bookshelf to utilize in organizing my many books. No matter what size the book, unless it’s a children’s smaller size, only about 16 books in total will fit on the shelf, not counting the bottom. I chose not to use the bottom shelf, as this will likely be a floor shelf and collect the most dirt and dust on the bottom tier. Very difficult to assemble as the screwdriver provided doesn’t allow enough grip to fully insert the screws. I ended up using my own to make the process faster and still ended up taking at least 20 minutes. Speaking of screws, each is very tiresome to insert with a level of difficulty, no matter how well you line up the holes. The overall structure looks great and feels very sturdy, showcasing whatever set of 16 books you might have on hand. Unfortunately, the assembly process requires a lot of elbow grease and more time than one would expect. ... show more

I love the look of this book case. It is a unique addition to any room. The instructions are super easy to follow and the screw holes all lined up for me. Each board is labeled so that you don’t have to guess and try to look at screw holes to identify them. The biggest slot is on the top which makes me worry. It could get top-heavy if you try to put your bigger books on top, but even on the smaller slots on the bottom, big book, still stay in as long as they’re not too tall. ... show more

No instructions included in mine, and I had to look at the pictures here and the predrilled holes to figure out the order. Each of the pieces have a letter label, but mine didn't match up in order since I had multiple pieces with the same letter. It took a bit of fiddling , a few mistakes that had to be unscrewed and laying out all the pieces in order before I was able to build it. I far prefer IKEA builds. As you can see in the pictures once all the pieces were fit together with the predrilled holes the bottom doesn't quite fit snuggly at the base. I thought I had it fit well at first, but once it was all put together and screwed to the back support it developed a gap. It may look better once books are on it, but overall I'm not impressed with the entire experience. ... show more
