Got this to replace the leather cord of my wife's favorite necklace, which had deteriorated over the years. Was a perfect replacement. Quality leather, and the snap is super-easy to do and undo for her. I read some reviews that the snap was difficult to use. Not so. It is not the typical spring-hook that can be a nuisance; it is a simple insert of a pin on one side, slips in to a receiving "tube" on the other. To release, just press on one side of the pin and it falls open. Easy-Peasy. Picture a child's teeter-totter. Press on one end and the "rocker" on the other side goes up and you are free. Now I don't have to hook and unhook her old snap any more! She can do it easy! :)
