Before putting these one for the first time I could immediately tell something wasn't right. In my 20 years in the military I have never received BDU trousers that had so much extra material in the legs and seat. These were beyond what could be reasonably considered relaxed fit or baggy. The waist size was way off as well, 2 more extra inches of room than needed making the waist cinch straps useless.     • Act like cotton, thick & hold moisture.
In my opinion: I don't like how thick, heavy & absorbent these are compared to Tru Spec BDUs. The side waist band pinch hardware is uncomfortable leaving red marks on my hips & the rear pockets frill out making you look real "special". You can put alot of stuff in the side pockets, but it'll be disorganized unlike with Tru Spec's internal pocket organizer feature. My job issues these to obese people that Tru Spec wouldn't offer a sizes for. These seem to retain sweat & get heavier with moisture as their wicking abilities seem very lacking. I believe they're made in Puerto Rico interesting enough & they do hold up to severe utility use & fade like all the other brands of BDU pants. 511 colors tend to last the longest, but EMT tend to favor them over Tru Spec & Popper. They're OK for the price, but if you were into navel/maritime duties you really won't want to swim in these because they'd cause alot of drag unlike the Tru Spec brand that's more of the professional industry standard, that is if you're waist is less than 38". ... show more

Six years in the Army. Woodland pattern BDUs. My ex-wife never could figure out why I didn't change out of uniform immediately when I got home. They are just really damn comfortable. I have two pair, one tan, one OD green. The tan are nice enough to wear for business casual. The OD I tend to reserve for the range and around the house. If you are going to wear these unbloused, grab a pair of scissors, and cut the nylon strips sewn into the cuffs at the ankle, and remove them. These are sturdy, comfortable, and based on actual use on real world deployments, exactly what you need for outdoors activities or work pants. ... show more

Purchased these in a medium and they fit perfectly. For reference I am 5'7", female 170 lbs with a muscular build. The material is sturdy, and long lasting. I've been using them for a few months now and they're perfect for outdoors activities, hiking, the range or just regular everyday use. Propper makes some outstanding stuff, and would recommend to a friend in a heartbeat. I find myself wearing these pants more than any other in my closet, simply because DCU is a classic pattern (never goes out of style) and the pockets. You can't find pockets on regular women's clothing, so these are wonderful. Deep enough for my phone, notepad, magazines, pistol, knife, just about everything! I’m getting really tired of misleading descriptions about the products these Amazon vendors are selling. BDU trousers are my favorite type of pants to wear. They wear well, hold-up to the day-to-day rigors of being in the woods, and last for many years (usually about 5 years for me.) I prefer the “old school” BDUs because they have the button pockets and button fly (I hate Velcro and zippers), so when I saw these in the long length and that they had buttons (especially the fly) I immediately ordered them, but what I received were used BDUs with a zippered fly. WHY DO THEY LIE?!?! To top off a bad situation, the BDUs were dirty and look as though they have previously been worn! WTH?!?! I have initiated a return, but I feel that others that may be considering buying these BDUs need to be aware of the mid-leading information in the description. Comfort is top notch, but durability is questionable. I've been wearing the woodland camo pants for roughly about 4 months off and on and had a spot tear near the bottom of the zipper. I'm a retired army veteran 1991-2011. I say that to say...these are the REAL deal, authentic summer BDUs bottoms. The others are imitations. In my day, lol, getting old, we were issued winter and summer BDUs. Almost all of us, Soldiers preferred wearing summer. They're weightless, more comfortable, hold a better press and the color is richer. Since then I've gain some weight and had to send the first order back for a different size, but they are true to size. I'm waiting to recieve my re-order today and I have yet to dropped off my approved return order with UPS. Expedite shipping. UPDATE: So today I received the second pair and they are winter material. I will be returning these because I prefer summer. So, I have to figure out how to specifically request a LR in summer material also know as ripstop. ... show more

This isn't my first pair of Propper pants. They don't last the longest, but they are very comfortable for me. This is the first time I've ever had a manufacturing defect. The thread on the buttons was pocked into the fabric, but literally just fell off as I took it out of the plastic bag. If I have to return them it's probably more of a hassle than just fixing them myself. ... show more
